I don't think characters=plot. Most of those that are missing were completely side characters that had very little to do with the main plot of the show.

I think that defines the problem! There were way too many side characters and side stories. The show spread itself way too thin, and then tried to correct the mistake by deleting all non essential characters from the show. So...in a way thier exit was a step in the right direction, but it was poorly executed.

For example. Say your 5 year old kid has a puppy and plays with it every day after school. The puppy gets hit by a car when the kid is at school. When the kid gets home from school you can either tell him the dog died, or make up some less horrible story. You CAN'T however just say nothing and pretend the dog never existed unless your kid is as dumb as a brick!

Heroes didnt choose to kill off the characters, or make up a less horrible story...they just pretend the characters and thier stories never existed. So I would assume they think thier viewers are as dumb as bricks!

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand why we can't just assume that West is still going to school and that he and Claire broke up and fell out of touch. Where else would Micah be other than with his Grandma? And Monica clearly wasn't leaving her family behind so we can assume she's still flipping burgers at that place and trying to work her way up in the world. Maybe she's taking a few college classes.

The writers probably don't know who Rebel is right now. But it will turn out to be Peter from the future, but without the scar.

I hate to say it but the writers not knowing who Rebel is wouldn't surprise me at all.

Well, Heroes has started for me-- want spoilers?:lol

8 minutes in and
someone took the money from the dog's squishy toy.

:lol

Sylar finds
a dinky toy car.

There's a
Spiderman/MJ kiss in a pool-- made Claire all wet.:monkey1

Not a bad episode... Not stellar, but just middle of the road.

I enjoyed tonight's episode. Wasn't great, but it was entertining which the last few haven't been for me.

Hiro absent--- good... because where his character's journey used to be the best part of the series its redundancy has turned it into one of the worst.

Claire's storyline was the drag for this week.

I kinda liked her interacting with her mom. And I liked them making her mom a stronger character.

That was awfully fast. One minute they seem to have no interest in each other then he's hitting on her, then they're making out under water. At first I thought he was just going to give her air, but if that's what he was doing it looked alot of fun. And then at the end when they showed her in the robe I thought they checked into a motel and had sex. :lol He probably has a savior complex. Let's hope Puppet Master doesn't have the same problem.

I enjoyed the episode, but I'm still bummed that Peter can only absorb one power at a time. I'm really looking forward to seeing Sylar confront his dad. And yeah I though puppet master guy died also, but regardless it looks like Claire is gonna be the shepherd for all the people with abilities looking to avoid being caught.

I thought puppet master guy died? He got into that fight with Sylar and lost and then the building exploded.

I thought he died as well.

Someone remind us when we saw this guy last and in what state (ie alive or dead) he was?:lol

Maybe the writers need to be reninded as well.

Maybe he was presumed (and probably should be) dead. Last night I was wondering why Nathan and his goons would go after Hiro and Peter and Matt etc while leaving a freaking real bad guy out free. At least it would explain that.
