Damn I forgot about Superman. Well I think you're right about them going for the Ledger audience. Crow became the cult classic that it is, mostly over his death. Highlander is a cult film too, but it isn't very relevant now and only those who are older or just happen to come across it in their youth like myself would have interest in it.

Bespin Luke is another '80s figure, but Star Wars is its own discussion of course. I would actually expect to see HT figures from '80s films like Cobra or Conan before something like Highlander because of the iconic stars involved.

If you really want them, customs is going to be the way to go with these IMO. I have found myself turning more and more toward customs to fill out my collection given the fact that I want more than Star Wars, Iron Man, and Joker on the shelf.

I only own one custom since I absolutely knew it would not be picked up by any company. Customs are the way to go although they do sure get pricey, especially if you're going for a full figure.

If I had the cash, I'd jump on Spencer's custom Kurgan in a second.

This does not have anything to do with the original Highlander Film which is the Best IMO but in 2014 Ryan Reynolds will be the New Highlander, he is the only one known in the cast from my sources, I am sure we will get some Very Cool Fig's out of that but I would still like to see some well done Original Cast form Highlander

I thought he dropped out of the project and it went back to development hell?

Ugh please just cast someone from the UK please and don't put a ****ty American actor in the role PLEASE!?

From what I saw he was the only cast member and he was cast as Connor, Lambert will always be The Highlander, there can only be one.

I wonder if they will keep some of the Queen Sound-Tract or do a remix

They were going to include the original soundtrack in it. I just checked, RR bowed out last month. It's un-cast currently.

Reynolds works as Deadpool, but I'm hard pressed to imagine him working as any other geek character I am familiar with. He's an idiotic, goof-ball frat-boy. I can't take him seriously as Green Lantern at all, and would feel the same about MacLeod, I'm sure.

Good to know my Friend, I just could not wrap my head around RR doing it, I am glad, now who would be perfect for the lead star and co-stars????

Really hard to say, but it needs to be someone with actual acting chops.

He's great as that, he shouldn't be in any other role that deviates from it.

One thing is he has those eyes like Christopher Lambert, but the rest is just a joke. At least Christopher Lambert can look serious when he is serious. And even though Christopher Lambert can't act, he is still miles better than Reynold as a actor.

I actually don't disagree with that :lol

I really like Highlander, and Lambert's performance (he oozes '80s grit in that movie). But it isn't high art.

Not difficult to act as someone who seems to have lived everything and is now bored of everything.

However his clansman Duncan seems to be enjoying every inch of his life.

Shows that Connor despite having lived for 500 years, 100 years more than Duncan, couldn't get the best out of his own life, and no the quickening he gathered for the past 500 years doesn't really help. He should have joined Darius and become a priest instead.

However the I'm tired, bored & all worn out Connor in 1 is something unique. You can see that OMG not again in the 2nd movie when he regain his immortality. Makes me wonder why he bothered to fight in the 2nd movie.

Lambert convinced me he lived for four and a half centuries.

The Kurgan would be big shoes to fill, pardon the pun.

Highlander was never meant to have a sequel, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's just a franchise that has been so royal ****ed up and cannot even come close to the original with it's sequels.
