I have 2 more episodes to go before I'm done with season 4. So far, it's been good but not great. There is too much going on, spread over too many locations. Wessex and Paris are holding a competition on who is more perverted : the French Lannisters and 50 Shades of Oto vs Banging My Father-In-Law. I like Rollo's scenes in Paris but I don't care for the rest.

Yidu's character was a complete waste. I was hoping that she'd have more of an advisor role similar to Athelstan but no, she was just Ragnar's drug dealer.

EDIT : Finished season 4. I liked the time-jump : it's nice to Kattegat flourish under Asleug's rule and to see all the boys grown up. I'm still sad that none of the girls (Gitta, Angrboda and Siggy) made it to adulthood. It would've been nice to have some young badass female Vikings around.
The death that hit me the hardest was little Siggy's. Poor girl was loved by no one. Þórunn ditched her at birth. Bjorn didn't even want to take care of her. Aslaug was very dismissive of her death with her 'Siggy who?' comment. As much as I wanted to hate Aslaug for that comment, it wasn't really her responsibility to take care of Siggy. It annoys me that Bjorn didn't even react to the death of his daughter.

This looks *VERY* promising. Can't wait to see the Lothbrok boys fight against the English and see Bjorn, Floki and Rollo go to the Mediterranean Seas.

I'm surprised to see Lagertha would decide to go to war against Aslaug after all these years. So far, I never had the impression that she was still holding a grudge against her. So why now?

Well, he finally got killed by some snakes. Looking forward to the rest.

History might be better than this show.
