That set is not impossible to reproduce...with the right eye and skill set it's very possible.

no, it's not impossible to reproduce, but the prestige of this set is that they were scanned from the real props and that they were made by SWS. That can never be beaten by any fan made piece, no matter how accurate it is. I wouldn't want it any other way.

I get it, i do. I gotta say that Tankman P1 sculpt is as close to a laser scanned sculpt as you can get. Real Deal or not, i would love to own this set.

Being said that, I miss the old times when Sideshow laser scanned stuff from the movies to get perfect reproductions, like the P1 maquette.

Why hiring people to sculpt now from scratch a P1 1/5 statue, which is clearly inferior in fidelity than the maquette, when they still have the 3D data and they could make another perfect-proportioned predator from that. Like Gentle Giant does all the time.

It's something that goes beyond my comprehesion :dunno

SWS was all about perfection when they were around. Nobody is like that anymore. Legacy still does it, just not with Predator stuff cause they don't work on those movies anymore.
