I think it's to give him a "worn" look and to break your eyes focus on any specific spot. In pieces that are all shinny with smooth surfaces, your eye is able to pick out small imperfections. These very subtle dots scatter that focus to make it appear uniform. That's why they are covering his entire body.

That or this guy has the worst case of chicken pox I have ever seen!

Fantastic pics so far guys for those who already recieved him! Not sure whats going on with those splashes of paint across his body? Seems as though some are saying that it should be there whereas some dont appear to have any specs on them at all?

After contacting Fedex about my delivery (which should have arrived yesterday) they have confirmed that the statue is at Stanstead pending customs and will be out for delivery tomorrow. So those in the UK who are still waiting, dont panic...tomorrow is the day!

Yours has the same spots/specs Jye? I think the best thing to do is get Mamba to take some close up pics of the body as his pics are always crystal clear and would give a better indication as to whether these spots should be there or not...

I think it's Sideshow's poor attempt at weathering... These spots have always been there

I'm but a fan of the spotty weathering/space debris effect.

It just doesn't make sense to me. Galactus is suppost to be some omnipotent being, I'm sure he'd be able to keep himself clean.

It doesn't bother me that much though, I'll still be getting this statue for myself

Look like this is the big "the sky is falling" moment for this statue.
