The specs are intentional, mine has them, too. In my opinion, they make the armor look millions of years old. Galctus has been around a while, I don't think his armor should be bright and shiny,

I agree with you. :exactly:

Awesome pics as well.

Cool pics big man! So how does SS and Nova attach to the arm? Is it by magnet? :dunno

No, it should have been a magnet, though.

There is a small gray piece on the glove that comes out (try not to lose this...it's tiny), revealing a slot. The "trails" on Nova and Surfer have a tiny "flap" that fits (very snugly...took a while to work SS into it all the way) that fits into the slot.

Oh cool! Thanks my friend! :hi5:

Just got this guy in about 30 minutes ago and ugh!
It's been forever since I bought a Sideshow Statue, after the whole Rogue issue it left a bad taste in my mouth, and I kinda switched over to Hot Toys collecting for awhile. I gave this a shot because Galactus and Thanos are 2 of my favorites.

As we already know the pricetag is pretty massive, so I'm assuming this will be well packed and show up in great shape.

The first thing I see when I open it up is 'skirt' in the front is completely snapped and broken in half. That set the tone for being incredibly bummed right off the bat. His entire body minus hands and head fins are one solid piece. So to get this replaced requires basically sending the entire thing back, and getting a whole new body, which could have it's own issues.

I then noticed mine does not have an edition number whatsoever. Is this how they do the larger pieces they sell?

My final observation is that when placed correctly, flat footed on the stand he really, really, really feels like he's leaning forward, more than he should. I'm just picturing months down the line those ankles snapping and the whole body falling down.

I hate, hate, hate feeling so underwhelmed for an $800 statue.
Trying to decide if I get the replacement and let it marinate in the collection and see if I end up loving it, or just getting the full refund.

Has anyone else been less than happy?

If you re-read what I said, I said nothing about that I EXPECTED an edition number. I said I didn't see one and asked if that's how larger pieces were handled. Please don't comment if you aren't going to bother reading the OP.

Must be great to be you, getting to hide behind a keyboard, pointing out how stupid everyone is. Instead of answering a question asks you feel the need to go a step further and be a wiseass. Congrats on being you.

This is an open edition piece, with no set edition size. So, the bottom just says limited edition. I think this is how all legendary scale figures (I know Galactus is technically a maquette) have been handled.

He does kind of lean forward a bit, but it looks that this is how it was always intended to stand if you look back at the proto pics. I wouldn't be too concerned about the ankle snapping, but it does look like the boots were glued to the leg. There was one case reported recently where someone's Joker PF spontaneously snapped at the boot and fell over. Joker's boots were glued onto the leg, similar to Galactus, so I think it was becasue the glue failed. I think that is a one-off case, though, and I'm not too concerned about Galactus falling over on his own. He seems pretty solid to me.

As far as the damage, that sucks big time. Only choice is to replace the entire body, as you say. If you are feeling underwhelmed, maybe ask for a refund and call it a day. No point in keeping it if you are unhappy.

Eeeeekkk! First report of damage and I'm starting to get the jitter bugs for my delivery tomorrow! :panic:

I did my research on this statue, hopefully I'll get a low ES!! :lol

Simply put this is a LIMITED Edition statue with an open ES ... NO Number... could be onsale for 10 years or 10 weeks... and we will NEVER know how many were made. As for this being how they are handling their BIGGER releases... the answer is NO... The Gladiator Hulk PF, Superman PF, and Batman PF ALL have ESs and they range from 25 inches to 30 inches. The LSF have no ES though and Galactus is ALMOST that size.

As for the damage ... you deserve a replacement ... and you will get one. It may require some waiting, depending if the currnt batch is ALL out the door already, but you will get it.

On another note... I get that you are pissed... but you are the one who kind of came out a swinging here... just sayin
