Sure you can get a full refund and order a new Galactus. If the flaws are not too obvious I imagine yours will be put back in stock though. But yes, SS policies are weird.

Also, when ordering a new one those of us who have to pay sales tax or import fees or what not do lose some $$$ in the process.

No replacement available for my Galactus with paint issues. Guess its full refund for me. How do you not have replacements for open edition statues???

Same thing happened to me. They told me they did not have a replacement for me (fingerprint in the paint, scratches and excessive glue on top of boot) and I got a refund. I see other people getting replacements here during that time they are telling me I can't get one.

I will hold off re ordering until next year. Hopefully they get a second batch with the issues taken care of.

You can claim the VAT back in the uk if you sent it back. You just lose the £10 Fedex fee.

Well, from my experiences it's not about replacements in stock or not. It's about who should get one and if they decide the flaws are worth giving a replacement. The response meaning they don't think it's bad enough to get a replacement is the email some of us has got in the past. Including myself many times. That's why some are getting replacements even now and some are not. It would be easier if they just say what it is.

Was your shipper scuffed? :panic:

Don't see them doing another batch of em. If you really want one I suggest you get one in the near future or you will pay extra for it.

It's an open run with them still being ready available on the site. What do you mean they won't be making another batch? These things will continue to be produced for years to come. The replacement thing is just protocol doesn't actual mean they are running on limited supply.

Making them for years to come??? Look I don't know exactly how many there making or if there even making more but lets face it, $800 is a lot to spend on one figure. Even as amazing as this one is. Because of the price I don't really see these flying off the shelves so why would SS be making a lot more of em? That being said Im sure SS already knew this because of the pre orders they took in. And also remember that this was originally slated to be released almost a year ago! Hell it was at comic con two years in a row! My guess is they push it back because they didn't have enough pre orders, that and SS always pushes back almost every release lol.

Now I never said it was on a limited supply but IMO I don't think it gonna be around for "years to come" either. If you really want one I would suggest you bite the bullet and get one in the near future. Again just my .02

It's an open ES. These will be around for awhile and made in batches. Your price argument doesn't really hold up because you can go and order an open ES Wolverine LSF as we speak for $2000 directly from sideshow. Nothing limited about these pieces until SSC stops making them.

Guess well see, either way amazing piece, one of my favs.

Totally agree with you but what else is new...:)

Let's not talk about all the open ES that's still open years later. But there's no need to name all those pieces out there.

But how long has this piece been open...:dunno

Plus there is nothing that would suggest that they wouldn't re-open something that had been closed.

Yeah, total surprise that we agree on something. :lol

The thing with an open ES is that SSC can do whatever they want. They can keep a piece up for sale for years. They can stop taking orders but solicit them again at any time if a piece starts picking up serious value in the aftermarket. There is a lot more to consider with an open ES than just numbers on a base. Especially when you consider the $$$$ we are spending on SSC merch.

:exactly: yep!

I was told the stock ones are different from the replacement ones.Even if they have in stock those won't be used for replacements.

Damn just heard back from SS. They no longer have anymore replacements. was given 4 options 100 credit, 90 buck refund back to CC, refund or exchange. i'm gonna call in tomorrow and find out more about that exchange option.

Really pissed off because they said they tested it before they shipped it but there is no note indicating it was opened and the chest is clearly dead because i've done everything, clean contact points and shook it around abit in the hole and not even a flicker.

if i didn't have so many points invested into this i'd opt for a refund but don't think sideshow would refund those points into another order.

A qoute from Quintus Batiatus comes to mind but its to graphic to repeat.. lets just say it involves god, a ram, rooster and donkey...

And that's probably just what they want. They won't give you your points back or transfer them and will therefore lose them. If you want to order again you pay full pop, SS wins.

Call management, kick and scream.
