if they changed the damn HS (which i dont think they did) i call shenanigans...it was perfect from the start and will be released as the 2.0 version.

No way they changed that headsculpt. It was too perfect.

The one in the photo must be the same and its awkward lighting or they recasted their sculpt because the original needed to be somewhere else and the new paintjob makes it look weird.

For the past year, I have done quite a lot of sculpting and art direction works, but I think my sculpting is not good enough.^^ So today in 2012, I want to start again and do my job better and better.



For the most interesting works last year, number one is Jack Nicholson’s Joker.

This character is very funny and has a devil face. When I sculpt this kind of head, I must need to think two points: one is Jack Nicholson’s normal face before make-up; another one is Joker’s face after make-up.



If we only check the face after make-up, it is not good enough because it may only look like Joker, but not Jack Nicholson. So I check both normal and make-up faces very carefully when I do this job. And I got this idea after making Heath Ledger’s Joker head sculpt long time ago.



A quite funny thing is that - when I work, my face is always smiling like Joker.

Please imagine. It’s really very funny, right? haha



I have tried my best as I want to make it perfect.

I've already lost faith in HT after the Indiana Jones catestrophe. Now I wait until in-hand pics (usually OMGs) until I make my final decisions

I enhanced the photo to try and better show the new sculpt. I also pulled a video still from last August that shows the prototype in the same Toy Hunters' display, for comparison. I think it still looks like Jack, just a different expression.

This is like comparing apples and oranges........Im sure we will see better pics in the next few days.

Yeah, looking at the proto pic and prod pic together like that almost confirms to me it's just a lighting/shadows issue. Time will tell.

No. My only disappointment from what I've seen of this figure...aside from the display stand.

I don't think they've changed the sculpt. Even with the enhanced photo, most of his face is still in shadow which makes it look dull, you can't make out the eyes which gives the figure it's spark and as for the mouth the teeth are blurry and you can't even see the red lips extending out to the cheeks which as a result give the smile that "squashed" look. I'll wait until some real photos come out before i pass judgement.
