Are you guys seriously freaking out over a box?

The only reason BBTS contacted people who ordered collector's grade figures was because they didn't receive enough boxes that meet that standard.

That doesn't mean that the standard grade is going to be a crumpled up water damaged box that fell 40,000 feet out of an airplane. I've bought sub standard packages from BBTS and honestly even they are generally much better than the stuff you find at mass retail.

When you pay 265 for a plastic toy than yes people have every right to flip out over a box . For the price of this figure there should be no issues in my opinion. It is an amazing figure but wit hall these qc issues wit hit I might just wait and see if they ever do another one.

Absolutely correct. I emailed BBTS CS to cancel it. I will wait for another shipment.

If Chubbs had not informed everyone that collectors grade boxes were not good enough to ship out I'm pretty sure everyone would still be hyped to get their figure.

As I said before I'm going to keep my order and as long as the figure is in great shape and the box isn't smashed up then I'll be happy.

The "scratches" on the front are probably from the shipper box. As far as the purple on the inside I'm sure some of the cardboard is creased. All acceptable IMO and thus why I elected to not pay $2 more for collectors grade. For those who choose to pay this then, yes, these are unacceptable. As for someone like me, I'll live with it.

Hope everything works out for everyone. I will post pics of mine when it's received. This way we can see how cockeyed the PERS are and if the tailoring is horrendous.

I think there are a lot less QC issues than you think. I think you've been looking for reasons not to buy this figure. Even before anyone even said anything about crooked lapels you were all "..I dunno, I dunno." Most everyone who has received theirs is more than happy. Besides remember the whole DX09 oil scare?? Yeah, see how that turned out.

I've bought several times from BBTS and every time their product has come very well packaged, and I don't ask for special treatment. I'm also in Cali so its a long trek for that box.

That said, if the box must absolutely be pristine then better safe than sorry.

I agree! We should have them in Cali by this day next week!

I have never used the collector's grade and all the previous hot toy boxes I have received from BBTS look mint to me. My BBTS Joker is on its way soon.

Agreed. I've had my DX08 Joker and DX09 Batman for a month now, with no oil leaks, crooked lapels, stitching issue etc. Both were perfect and have remained so! Love them!

Very good point and I bought dx 09 and he was perfect. I will order dx 08 but probbably not for another week or 2 I got 1 figure I want to pay off my enterbay scarface first.

Lucky you.............

But anyway, could someone please tell me what the known quality issues are with the DX08 so I can tell my dealer to check the figure before he sends it... Thanks.

Glue on the orange silk shirt, white paint missing from tip of nose, uneven lapells on coat. Bad stitching ripped sleevs on coat. Threads and snags on silk shirt, weak ankles. These are all the ones I have seen posted but they are isolated isuues the majority got good figures. Your best bet is to order from sideshow great customer service and if something is really wrong with your figure they will replace it.

Check the figure before sending? But that would mean they would have to open the box, remove all the wrapping etc? That would be a no-no for me. When I pay this price, I want it mint, unopened, and sealed. If I open it and there are issues, then I ask for a replacement. All top rated sellers are OK with this.

Just because it's packaged well doesn't mean I would want a well packaged factory defective box lol. Did you cancel yours Wor? I sent them an email but haven't heard anything as of yet.

Thanks a lot for the answer. :hi5:

Yeah I know, but I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it, or waiting for a replacement part to arrive and all that. I want my figure in perfect condition the day I receive it.

With my DX09 I got "wonky" unparallel eyes and some bad cutting around the nose. I looked forward to that figure for several months and it kinda ruined the joy I had for the figure too see that, now I have to wait 1-2 weeks for the replacement head to arrive. Not the end of the world but I would gladly exchange that for letting someone I trust check it out before sending it to me.

I don't care so much about the unboxing, more interested in the actual figure.
