Yea I would hope for a Batman KO, however no one seems to KO Batman. We’ve had tons of TDK Ledger KOs of the purple suit, bank robber suit and even the police outfit in 1/6 and even 1/4 KOs of the Enterbay but yet no one KOs Batman unfortunately. The only Batman KO I’ve seen is the Crazy Toys 1/4 TDK Batman Ko that is pretty much a fully plastic cast of the HT with little basic Jakks Pacific type articulation and no accessories.

Yep, a KO of this thing isn?t hurting HT?s pocket book at all. I wouldn?t be surprised to see a KO Batman. That?d be another one to pick up and do some battle damage to.

It?ll hurt their brand though. Some new collector would assume that that?s HT and judge the quality by that standard. A lot of big companies will always shut those fake operations down.

I don’t think that would happen. The numerous other KO Jokers that have been produced over the years haven’t seemed to have any effect on how people perceive Hot Toys. All the KO transformers and Mezcos are a good example too of how a 2nd party, lower quality product doesn’t harm the reputation of a company.

I'd bet that the reason we never see KO Batmans is because they're so much harder to manufacture. These KO companies have plenty of experience with fabric and clothing, but rubber armor/suits are a whole different story.

The fake Wolverine was for the Origins Wolverine figure and that figure was top to bottom reproduced including the box which had the HT logo on it. Even the instructions were straight copies. The boots and stand had the copyright info on the bottoms too. It was incredibly difficult to tell the difference save for a few things like the eyes and material for the red shirt. I had the original and the bootleg and it was hard to tell the differences.

There are many many KOs of current and relatively old HT figures mostly made by either Crazy Toys or HC Toys, but they don't pretend to be HT using their logos and copyright info, which is the difference between new KOs and that Origins Wolverine bootleg. I mean HC Toys made a complete KO of DX11 TDK Joker with all the accessories including the table, chair and light. Even the box looks similar but they don't claim to be HT nor put HT logos on their items.

I remember the issue with Iminime but vaguely. I just know it caused them to change their name to CultKing.

I just pissed $580 on this DX08. Its just satisfying that now I own an authentic piece.
The 3rd party figures always lack the likeness of the actors/actress.

Although that is an expensive figure . It in itself is a masterpiece. Congrats on your purchase !! I have the mine version but I am looking for this version. I am not willing to pay that much so I can have patience.

Money well spent as far as I am concerned. A masterpiece by Hot Toys. I also paid similar amount to get one a few months back.

It’s really shot up. For a while it was in the high $300s to like mid $400s. It seems to be going closer to $600 or above now.

I just looked at completed auctions on ebay and he seems to sell there between 650-750. Crazy.

Yep. Which is why as much as I don’t like support bootleg products in this case I might just do it. Just can’t justify paying that much for him. Either that or I just won’t have him unless the price drops. Even the mime version has gone up, which was heavily discounted while it was in stock. I regret not keeping my order of the DX14 back in the day when it was like $175 I think.

There was a point where that Hastings store had the DX 08 for like $150. I got multiples of him and the DX 10 Terminator.

Good deals are hard to come by now a days. Everything is just so over priced.
