Yeah... I know...It has been discussed... That doesnt mean that the DX base looks good and again for what this costs I'm hoping for something nicer...if it doesnt come with anything nicer so be it but given the fact recent DX's have more of a diarama feel to them, i.e. Indy, BL, Jack Sparrow and since 89 Joker is the most expensive single DX figure I would like a nicer stand. 2 PO'd by the way.

They could do a stand based on the 200th birthday cake float.

The price is due to his face exclusive to ht and his expensive price on his name

I don't understand where this comes from. Nicholson gets a cut of the merchandising profits. That means ultimately that WB makes less from mechandising than they normally would (as the reserve a portion for JackNicholson). It does not mean that anything to do with the Joker costs more to license.

Be careful what you wish for boy. :nono Have you seen the recent half-cooked Classic Pred from HT? :slap

Yeah I don't know what happened there, but what a difference...I still like it but the proto's paint apps looked way better...I don't think we'll see a drop off in the quality on Joker...it's a DX, it's pricey, the likeness is about as perfect as can be, and I'm confident with that especially since Sparrow came out looking fantastic.

If 89 Batman/Joker come out with the same level of quality as Sparrow/Superman, especially Sparrow, I will :thud:

Well, Indy's a DX too right? :cuckoo:

Just out of curiosity, can Nicholson revoke their right to use his likeness if their product comes out poorly. If so, that's even more of a reason for HT to make this thing perfect. Considering how difficult it was for them to attain his likeness rights, I don't think they'd want to screw that up.

I don't think they ever set out to make a substandard figure. Things just happen that way. Making figures is a multi-level process.

Are you guys making comments on the pictures posted a few pages back? The Proto pictures seem to have a blue hue to his face the bring out the details and contours. The pictures from a few pages back look to be all white hiding the “details and contour” information.

Amazing and perfect (aside from that hat) IMO. Best damn looking figure I've ever seen and the highlight of my Comic Con experience. How's that?
