maxx, beautifully done with the display stand. the light-up feature really brings out the contours of the lightcycle.
i'd love to get one for my piece but unfotunately, there's not enough space on my cabinet to fit it. i display my lightcycle next to my plasma tv and it just about fits there, with no extra space. too bad...

I'm thinking of buying Sam, but it looks like it's currently sold out. Sideshow has it currently on backorder, coming in November. I'm trying to save some money for other toys and it would be great if I could buy this in January. Do any of you guys think he'll be sold out by then on Sideshow?

They are just white, but they do actually look a little blue when you put it in the display cab. The light just gives off this natural blue colour.
It's not as prominent as the photo's make out.

The Sam Flynn and Lightcycle are my first purchase of any Sideshow related merchandise. (I've been mostly Master Replicas and eFX since 2002 and thats it)
Being a long time "TRON" fan, I had been watching the development of this piece and considered getting in on the preorder. But at the time I was directing all collection funds toward the UD Replica suits so the HT Lightcycle went to the back burner. Then a few weeks ago I check the site and see that its Sold Out and I think, "Well good! Hopefully they realize they have a hot property on their hands" and a week or so goes by and I get an itch which causes me to browse the secondary market to see these going for a minimum of $50 over retail. Well, it kinda makes me want one and I decide to try my hand to get on the wait list. Well, not even one week after I get on the Wait List, Sideshow locates one and gets it out to me the next week. What a nice Halloween surprise!
I haven't opened it up yet, mainly because once I open it I won't want to put it back in the box. But as with many of my other replicas I want to protect it and am waiting on getting a acrylic cover for it. Trying to get an idea of what size cover I need for full display options.
I do have one question for owners here:
With the extended "disc-holding" arm, what are the width dimensions of the piece?
