they should have tried to use EL lights this time around and have this thing plug in instead :p
I can already imagine making a case with black acrylic for base and back panel

That's quite impressive!! :rock!!

Well I am still glad that I ordered this, as I am very impressed with the look, but I am hoping that the suit will light up more than what is shown, and that the led issue on the wheels is addressed.

BTW, the wheels are supposed to show some kind of light sources--not be just solid rings of light. It's like that in the movie, except that they spin, but that's not possible to spin the LED's with something like this.

Huh, it seems you are correct:

I still kinda like the solid look more myself. But at least this isn't inaccurate.

This thing is just pure awesome. I just hope it doesn't stop with Kevin and Sam. Gotta give us a CLU and a Rinzler and knowing HT they will.

I really think Clu, Rinzler and Quorra are necessities. I guess it depends on how these first offerings sell.

totally agree with this! in fact, the place where I get all my architecture supplies from has a nice light blue "plastic" (the technical name starts with a "u" but the name escapes me at the moment) and I bet a nice LED running at the bottom of it would look great! not too sure where I can find a LED strip from though :gah:

Great idea, buddy.
But don´t you think that the light from the weel going through this plastic piece wouldn´t suffice for the effect?

One thing I've noticed though,
is that unfortunately we won't be getting Quorra...
the only toy available is the 3" one and comes masked,
I'm thinking Olivia Wilde didn't allow for her likeness to be used in figures...
If we're lucky, we'll get CLU, but Rinzzler, I think probably not...

Not true. There was some rumor about Olivia Wilde not granting her likeness but it was pure idle speculation.

Someone who works at SpinMaster who also posts to a Tron message board confirmed a Quorra head sculpt has been created and approved. They just went with the helmet so they could get her out early into the line without being held up by likeness issues.

Really?
What Forum is that?
Tron Sector?
That would be great news indeed!!

Yea I saw on eBay some selling a custom Quorra, but all they said was custom about it was the paint job b/c they made it cleaner, but they said nothing about the head being a custom head. The hair style looked to be one of those "in motion" kind of her styles though which didnt look to well but it gave me hope

Actually, I think it'll look better because the bright table is drowning out the LED's on the bike

I agree. The light table puts highlights in the wrong places. I think this some of the reason the other sculpts on display look off. But I also thinks its the reason that the Kevin Flynn looks good. Most of the really good film stills are from him in his "apartment" and it had a lit floor.

I had a display cabinet that had built in light table shelves. It was ok but like you all have mentioned before it kind of blocks out certain aspects of the figure.
