Yeah I finally got mine displayed with Berserker & Falconer, they look awesome together but if I didn't own the other two I think I'd have to let my Tracker go to but luckily I own all 3 so he's a keeper for me

Congrats RB! I've yet to get those 4 including Royce since I have them on pending from one of our suppliers here and will pay it like flexpay.

Well I got started on this custom. I'm a noob at painting these things and don't know what kind of paint to buy. I'm also not sure if to prime first or just start painting. Any tips you guys can give me would be appreciated.

That's an ambitious project for a noob. How are you going to tackle the eyes? That would be the hardest part to get right.

Get citadel paints!! lightly prime by dusting the areas needed to be painted (so you dont drown the face in paint and to maintain the details)

side note:where did you get the mandibles?

Acrylic Paint - I recomend either Model Masters or Tamiya Colors . Just take your time . Make sure you have a very very very fine tipped paintbrush .

Ebay has the paint . Also any Hobby store will carry both brands

ive never had any success with tamiya.. the pigment seems to separate really easily from the acrylic gel" if you will, I dont know how much sense that makes

Thanks for the tips guys. I got the mandibles from a guy on eBay. They are actually very nice quality. A lil bit of flash but that's about it. I found maybe one little air bubble and it's on the inside of one of the mandibles and very very miniscule.

@Reaktwon: I have painted some customs but not many. I won't be starting this anytime soon. I'm going to practice on some other smaller projects first but wanted advice in the right direction. One thing I've decided is that he will not have any red on his head. I know Berserker and Falconer have it but I prefer this guy to keep his green and tan look on his entire body. Maybe a tiny bit of red dry brushed for extra detail but that's about it.

Thanks guys. I hope I nail it too. My original plan was to go crazy and paint his green armor blue. Then I could display him with my other tracker like a jango/boba fett kind of thing. But I decided that's a bit much for someone who's nervous about painting.
