I went into my local Forbidden planet yesterday and scored this statue. It's one of of Bane's iconic poses and looks in the right scale with plenty of bulk on him. I'm happy with this as an alternative to Hot Toys effort

Can you take a close-up shot of his face? Proportion's definitely exaggerated, but it looks way better than HT's although I'm fairly surprised that it's in scale with HT's figures.

He fits in nicely. Bear in mind though he's standing on quite a thick base which makes him look taller than he actually is...

I noticed that stand and wrote me previous comment with that in mind. Pretty much around the same height as HT's Batman, isn't it?

Both the DC Bane and Catwoman statues fit right in with the HT pieces.

He looks like he's a bit bigger than the others. That's only a problem with the head - I personally wouldn't mind the body being that much bigger, since Bane is supposed to be a hulking beast anyhow.

Would the Leonidas body not do good for the vest look? Seamless and if anything looks slightly bulkier than this body

I think the leonidas body is too cut for Bane. Bane was more big then toned.

Here's some better pics. After a better look at it, I still love the piece and still think (for me) it'll be the definitive version of Bane I want.
On closer inspection, I've noticed the mask lacks some detail around the grill and the cut lines around the mask/flesh and glove flesh areas are pretty poor so I took to cleaning them up myself and it worked wonders.

Cheers Umair I'm happy with it. I have to say the one with Bane pressing Batman in the air just before he breaks him looks like a pretty sweet statue too. It's very dynamic

Cant bring my self to buy a statue let alone pose it with figures.

I don't play around with my dolls so i pick a pose and there it stays. Boring admittedly, but it works for me

I'm kinda the same, quite often I find a pose I like and leave it for a while, but after a while I might change things around a bit. But generally have my figures in one pose for a while. And if you're gonna have bane left in one pose, that's certainly a great one.

I'm good thanks, man, how about you? I've been around following a lot of threads but hadn't posted much for a while, considered leaving the hobby a few times and selling everything, purely due to financial difficulties, but the dark knight rises line has been pulling me back in.

Sorry to hear that Russ...I'm kind of in the same boat sadly. Been selling a few things here and there but then they get replaced weeks later!
I think the only way to break away from collecting is to cut yourself off from the likes of SSF, OSW etc etc...but easier said than done :/
