Re: Hot Toys – MMS183 - The Dark Knight Rises: Bane Collectible Figure
Yes prices can go down, but my main issue is that HT might call it a day and never even release a second version of Bane which could very well result in another Two-Face (dropped prices yes, but huge price hikes in the future.) Iron Man is a fan-favorite so HT is bound to keep remaking diff. versions of the guy (although to be fair, the Mk II isn't nearly as iconic as some of the other versions). Now while Bane seems to get some love from select fans, he's not as iconic (or well-received) as Joker was, so there is that potential risk that HT might settle with this release.
The figure isn't horrible, it's simply not as perfect as it could've been. Of course, I wouldn't mind if HT made the effort to modify the current figure, but I'm also content and willing enough to buy this figure so as to avoid any risks. While I myself think that TDKR has its flaws and TDK still remains as the best out of the film trilogy, I do love the character and what Nolan did with him and the inaccuracies on the figure are minor enough for me to still want to grab this.
Not sure about that. Just bought meself a brand new Mark II Armor Unleashed Version for $165 only to then be told by other forum members, and have since checked it myself, that the price is dropping steadily.
