This is my problem with collecting. I have zero, ZERO sympathy for people who wait after release to buy figures and have to pay mark ups. Bane didn't sell out anywhere, even after he released. You could have found him a few weeks after release for retail . And guess what, bbts offered him for $ 171 in the initial po, then $190. They bumped up the price to $225 when their stock was low. It's business and the only person to blame is yourself, not bbts. You aren't entitled to anything. They don't owe you anything. You want something, pre order early . BBTS is still my favorite site .
Was the initial PO initially that low, wow...
Firstly, the main benefit from ordering from BBTS for a lot of folks
was the fact they received their stock last, letting collectors decide if they wanted the final product of a figure that had yet to be released. It was a good thing to have especially when you look on page 1 of this thread and see a prototype that had many issues with a less than ideal "skinny body", which the final figure improved upon greatly.
Second, if you reread some of the thread they didn't bump the price up when "stock was low", they still had something like 40 figures left and they weren't selling fast at $225. (guesstimate, its been awhile since I read it and I'm not searching for it..but somebody did check and it is in this thread if you want to find it.)
Third, correct, BBTS doesn't owe me anything, as I don't owe them anything either. I am entitled to shop at places that don't practice these "scalper type" markups on
popular figures though. (Sideshow, Alter Ego etc.)
Happy BBTS makes you Happy!
