He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. If he doesn't buy it he'll get the ''you don't have it in hand so how can you know'' thing. Now that he has it he's getting the ''all talk, if it was such a problem you shouldn't have bought it'' thing. :lol
I debate the fact that he even has the ht version

I got this vibe from you in a couple of your posts to me the past few days, but I let it slide. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I was mistaken.

Wait, so if I don't post pics or vids, then I can't possibly own something? Sigh. Don't go there, man. Do...not...go...there.

I think at this point we have enough info to combat anyone who'd use the ''you don't have it in hand so how can you know'' retort. You either hate the paint and dont buy, dislike the paint but want the overall accuracy, or it doesn't bother you whatsoever. It's up to the individual collector and nothing more.

nothing to do with the pics bro
It's the strange behavior once you received your robocop and giving every excuse in the world not to open it while continuing to post here
I can't open it because the table is full, I can't open is because I don't have batteries and a screwdriver to which I reminded you not to forgot scissors because there might be tape
Most collectors treat the delivery of the figures like Christmas, shredding the paper and getting the sucker open ASAP
i can't help but to be skeptical

I'll be honest, the paint does look better on the EB Robo. That being said:

1. The Hot Toys head sculpt is better. The proportions are more accurate. Plus, you get a BD helmet from the FIRST movie. And the BD chest plate is better.

2. The EB holster is automated, but it isn't marginally better than HT's. They're both middling efforts. So no edge to EB in this regard.

3. They both have sound features, but the HT Robo offers more phrases. The only edge the EB has is the proper "Dead or alive, you are coming with me."

The only clear advantages the EB Robo has is size and paint. Every thing else is either negligible or the nod goes to HT.

I don't own the EB Robo. I DON'T WANT the EB Robo. I finally saw RoboCop 3 a few months ago and it's two hours of my life I'll never get back. I don't want to pay $530+ for anything remotely associated with that movie.

So thanks for letting it slide, but i can't help to be skeptical

So if I don't open something immediately, I must not have bought them. I haven't opened my Reeve Superman or my Batman Armory yet. I guess I don't own them.

I'll open them when I damn feel like opening them, how 'bout that?

Edit: I didn't have to cut the tape around the Robo with chair box, because it's reusable. Just so you know. Ask Ecko, because he bought the same set, for confirmation. If you think I'm lying or something.

I bought the same set too, but I'm not sure what tape your referencing as it's on several pieces
Doesn't matter man, the tape was a joke on my part on how something so simple might stop an excited collector from opening his freshly delivered figure
My skepticism isn't personal, if anyone exhibited the same behavior, I would also be skeptical because it's out of the norm, especially for new collectors

If I have insulted you, my apologies
And my apologies to other members for taking this thread off topic

I can't believe I'm even dignifying this with a response, but...the big, shiny band of tape that runs around the art box? The tape that can be reused after it's been removed? :slap

And...not everyone opens up everything immediately. They have their reasons and they don't have to pass your muster. Your logic is flawed.

This isn't the days of collecting Mcfarlane , keeping them minty fresh in their boxes. $20 bucks a pop if that. These are high end collectibles. Expensive little plastic fks. Open them up. Enjoy them.
I can see buying a multiple of a figure for different pose/alternate looks , etc.

(Drops head and slumps shoulders) Yes, there are two little pieces of tape on the plastic bag. And a piece of tape that seals the sleeve that contains the instructions and the little sticker sheet for the chair. Have I yet convinced you, Toy God, that I own this set?

And yes, your logic is flawed. It actually offends me, and I don't know why.

Spoke to a lady at the SideShow booth at NC comicon today.
I went up and asked her, "Where is my robocop?" haha then I smiled.
She said that it's down to the dock strikes.

I got a 25 off gift card though.

The "urge" to collect is in your blood. It's part of you. I have two young kids under 9 so it keeps you going. I wake up at 4am on the weekends so that I can have three hours to myself before I punch in and do Dad duties at 7am. I'm I tired? He'll yeah. The long waits, the anticipation, reviews and opinions etc of coming to these forums are the little breaks I have to jump out of my Husband/Father roles and back into the boy, the kid who loved these movies as a kid and now is able to afford and able to own a small piece of his childhood. Nobody in my real life care that over a year ago Robocop promo shots were in blue/grey but the actual production figure is in silver! It's here were I voice my concerns, share my thoughts and post my pictures. With you all...my 1/6 peers. Sure we are not going to agree all the time, but nobody else is going to care....that's why we're here!!! :duff

I came to this thread not too long ago I used to go by a different name back in the day, Luchador in fact, left and came back because of Marty and Robo, but I never really had people I could relate to or just feel empathy towards, this Robo thread after reading that sure changes that, and I'm glad I waste my time in here, even if we don't agree doesn't mean I hate you guys. But man it really puts some perspective on who comes in here :clap

:goodpost::exactly: The director of the movie also did Monster Squad he said that movie hurt his career but Robocop killed it :lol

I don't have a detolf I will open him up like crazy but for now the only figure I have out that I don't mind collecting dust is Joe Colton, I might also display Dredd so he has that weathered look :wink1: but not T1 BD don't want him collecting dust either might not have a detolf till I get these figs paid off so I got to wait till Jan to display them. But that doesn't mean I won't inspect Robo right away.
