Its worth laughing at the Gimontan's comments and reading these Spanbauer, that makes going through all 700 pages worth it, thank you man, its like a kindred spirit, I still want Ripley and maybe Batman, I'm not really into Tim Burton but that suit does look nice, and maybe owning a Bruce Wayne as has been hinted on other threads would be nice too.

Wow you're right, they totally had the paint down in that stylized prototype. So weird!

Yeah its like nobody's factory can replicate that color, wtf!? I think the EB thread would have a leg to stand on if EB did theirs like that same color too.

Yeah. We were saying hundreds of pages back (literally) that it might be the case that when they get to the factory and present their proto, that they say that colour is going to cost XXX or we can do it in a lighter silver for XX. And as these are commercial products, not charitable enterprises for the sake of popular culture, they all end up going with the cheaper colour and taking the best profit margin.

Or maybe that's an unkind suspicion, but it is crazy how every figure turns out bright silver with slight purple and blue accents.

seems to have been to lean toward the blue - though NECA's base colour for the 18" was pretty good. As was the Sideshow, but that sculpt was way off;

I remember my Mcfarlane 6 inch or whatever was the same color as the hot toys, not much blue, but that was ages ago might of been more like the 12in. how are 1:1 scale? Also we've talked about this since the dawn of time but someone always re hashes it every couple hundred pages we are climbing up to 800 things are bound to get repeated over and over.

I have the Mcfarlane 12" and 6" packed up. Had them displayed for a long time. Needed the space and almost all Mcfarlane got packed up. Great Robo figures though.

yeah articulation was good in the arms and it was good for its time but then the Hot Toys V1 came out and kinda blew it out of the water, though both had bad face plates

Its amazing how McFarlane can get the colour of the figure right and ht couldn't.

Actually in my quote I said it was the same color as the HT one I meant the 2.0 one. but I could be wrong I haven't seen that figure in years(Mcfarlane). In all honesty I don't think anyone has nailed the color right, I would like for someone with better knowledge to correct me, but it seems Rob Bottin is the only one that could get it right.

The Neca with a gloss coat would look real purdy.

Closer to the proto. Clearly a different batch.

It is strange. I had the 6" McFarlane Robocop back in the day, and I believe he was more silver as well. One thing though, some of those figures get the color a little closer, but they all look very, very plastic compared to Hot Toys new figure. I'd argue the MMS202 is the only Robocop production figure I've ever seen that has a convincing metallic appearance.

Regular version. $349.99 shipped. Honestly, I bought it expecting to get it before SSC but it it's practically the same price buying with Loonten since I was going to request a pack out anyways with SSC. I'm keeping my SSC order but I changed it to flex pay instead since I'm also going to pay my Final flex for Heartbreaker on the 25th, MP-21 bumblebee and the Macross Frontier VF-25S renewal all next week.

sadly not no. It's just stuck in Beijing and has been since the 11th, hasn't moved at all since. Can't say I'm too impressed to be honest, 9 days later and they've done nothing with it. Not really sure how it works but I'm an impatient SOB at this point.
