The purple highlights are on all surfaces, although as others have pointed out, they do seem to be a bit more prevalent on the metal parts. But it's very clearly there on plastic parts like his chest and helmet.

Thx AMDman18 and Yankeesfanboy for the input. I'm already resigned to the fact that the paint job is too bright silver chrome..pretty unfortunate cause the figure would have been amazing if they got the paint job more accurate. i think right now I'm more curious with how big the difference is in the amount of purple between the diecast vs non-diecast parts. I guess I wasn't just seeing things when I saw a purplish hue in some of the pics from fellow members.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that statue is only prototype? Therefore it's colour is liable to be ****ed on the final product as much as HT and EB?

A possibility, yes.

But I have a few of their (PCS) Street Fighter statues, and they've been pretty close to what was shown as the proto. Very satisfied with what they put out to be honest, better than most SSC's PF's.

It's because the paint is better, eb is more gray with a gloss coat, ht is a silver with a chrome coat

Yeah sorry I'm not seeing a notable difference. As in, I wouldn't be any less disappointed with the Hot Toys figure if it had the Enterbay paint job. In fact I'd be more disappointed as the Enterbay figure seems to lack the purple accents.

Yeah everyone talking about the paint job on EB probably notices better details in person? I don't know since I don't own it, just like you can't see the purple hues on the HT one, photos just can't capture what the naked eye can.

Pretty obvious to me one is gray and one is silver, but that's just me. Eb has a few purple hues, less than the ht version. Check the back of the be helmet and you can see the purple

in person, just as in the photos, one appears gray and the other silver
I just asked my daughter and without coaching, she mirrored my opinions

What your daughter didn't say was that she didn't want to hurt your feelings and that the Hot Toys one was better :monkey3

1/4 scale is to big for my tastes, I got a couple myself(hot toys endo an enterbay clean t800) and I find them a very nice display presents but there awkward to pose and handle(feels like I'm posing a small toddler) as well as overly expensive and space hogs. I'm a 1/6 guy, you get the most selection, some what affordable prices and all the detail and display presents I need. There's really not much more that 1/4 scale offers other than size, sure with Robocop there the automated gimmicks most could live without, but aside from that there's really no more detail in them than in 1/6 figures, one could say that 1/6 are more detailed just because there smaller.

In the end its up to the collector what suits there needs, I 'm not knocking the debate ether, if you guys want to compare them go right ahead, just saying my personal taste is for 1/6 for some of the reasons I listed and many more.

I guess you missed my write up where I thought the ht version was a better representation of robo
But, eb was closer on the paint, not hard to do when your comparing it against chromocop

If the head wasn't a brick and it wasn't so much like Robocop 3 and cheaper I would maybe like the EB one, maybe someone will get rid of theirs down the line for cheap though. I also don't collect 1/4 so it would stand out like sore thumb in my collection.

Yeah I looked at a bunch of pics; back of the helmet was the only place I saw any purple on that Enterbay figure. They're both so very wrong, but I'd take 30% too bright but with noticeable colored accents over 29% too bright with virtually no color variation.

I'll take a closer to accurate base paint color without hues vs a wrong base paint color with hues
Base paint covers 100% of the body. Hues cover 25% max
