It's speculation. As is 90% of the info passed around. The only "facts" and "news" and info that should be counted as legit/ 100% true is stuff gathered directly from hot toys website and Facebook as well as sideshows.
There are some folks that have inside info, or claim to, and that should always be taken as speculation, or an educated guess unless you know the person or really trust them. Some things are common sense obviously. (Full disclosure..I am one of the these people)
As for the speculation that these are not selling well..it is speculation. But there is a little evidence to back that guess up. Like the figures still being availble for preorder/order (not drax since he's not be unveiled yet) months after they where put up. It takes the company only a few months to have a pretty good idea what will sell well or not. And like it or not, everything is judged based on the companies best selling product, which is iron man. A figure that consistently sells out in days, or at least quickly. And it has a higher production run then the others.
This is by no means concrete proof of slow sales. It's just a good indicator.
