I'm a bit surprised at the surprise here. Did folks not remember the first pics we saw?



It's precisely what I expected it would be. HT has done anime/manga styled figures in the past, so this isn't really breaking new ground.

but they also said its a follow up to machiko, this time an alien take... so yeah Im surprised

That's not even prototype level paint apps for HT. There's no way that is the official figure.
It doesn't even have any articulation.

Okay...I'm fine with being attacked. I'm not a HUGE fan of the smile, over any sort of aggressive "I just fought a Xeno" face, but I'm a fan of Bishoujo figures and I love Aliens, and this is pretty much what I expected from the concept art. I mean, it shows a big anime head there too, I just thought they may tone it to be a bit more realistic. Overall though, for those who were somewhat interested, it's not like this should be knocking you down in shock at how it looks...it's pretty much what they drew months ago!

It's DEFINITELY a niche piece, but it'll sell really well in Asia, no doubt! I also agree that people need to try and not get too worked up saying, "We lost Ripley?! We could've had a new *insert anything* over this?" It's all set up in various ways, and eventually everything you want will get made. I mean, look at Drax and Quicksilver recently. Also Marty and '89 Batman...those all got made. When things are in the pipeline, they're there. Some things definitely get cancelled, but they're not going to go, "Wow, Alien Girl sold terribly in America...guess they don't want Ripley!" As for more Xenos? I'll bet they're coming! Especially when Alien 5 is on the horizon!

This will depend on price for me, but I still like it! It'll fit in with my Koto stuff really nicely. Again, SUPER niche, so I completely understand why it's being hated on by so many. I love the base! She just killed the Queen! That's pretty bad ass. Clearly killed her with her sexy powers, as I don't see a gun. But still, I think it's pretty cool looking there! I also really like the up close shot of the head DiFab just posted. I'm sure more shots will go up throughout the day.

Overall, I'm in if the price is right! It's a fun, niche piece that definitely doesn't have North America as the target audience!

It's cool, man. I loathe pieces like this and that Briareos rabbit robot thing but surprise, surprise, some people actually like them!

Its part of their artistic series, the samurai pred was too.
The pred sculptor désigner had a pseudo realistic style, here its a anime mangaka Illustrator.
I think its pretty cool they also do original creations, not a fan of this one but still i like the spririt.

Yeah this feels more like something out of their Bishoujo line than a Hot Toys figure. I actually like some of the Bishoujo stuff but this one doesn't do much for me.
