Hot Toys- 1/6 Avengers Thor

I thought Thor and Odin were unimpressive figures too until I bought them and put them on display. Now they're two of my favorites.

Depending on what the sculpt looks like I'll probably pick this one up too and if HT want's to "milk" more versions of Thor then I say go for it. More to choose from.

The last HT Thor figure is, in my opinion, one of Hot Toys worst figures to date. I said back then when they released it that I was going to wait for the Avengers version and at last, here it is. Looking forward to the full reveal. Hurry with this already!

I agree I was disappointed at the figure I wanted most.

If they made Maria Hill, I would be so happy. I can't even tell you. But I feel the likelihood of that is slim. Why would they do her before Coulson, etc.

Just depends on how big her role is I guess. Like I said, the banners at TRU surprised me that she was the 8th one instead of say Loki. So I wouldn't count her out just yet.

The only way I'd even consider Maria Hill is if she was a truetype but if they do a female truetype from Marvel it better well be Pepper Potts before anyone else

Pepper one the poll on HT's site, so they'll be making a real Pepper figure, not just a TT. I wouldn't be surprised to see them release Caulson as a TT though. I do actually want him to add to the SHIELD display. He's the most important minor character in the series IMO.

Nah, it shouldn't be that much. It will only come with a Hammer and 1 head sculpt.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them release Caulson as a TT though. I do actually want him to add to the SHIELD display. He's the most important minor character in the series IMO.

I would buy Coulson as well. Whichever figures they put out for the Avengers line, I will buy. Some of them I may try to get other places over ssc, depending on savings vs. free shipping, etc.

I think a whole SHIELD team would be pretty nifty.

As for coulson, he'd make such a lame figure. The guy is the worst character in the films IMO, just so not believable as a top SHIELD agent, balding middle aged bloke doesn't make for a good spy. Hill aswell is pretty useless for a figure.

For me it would have to consist of Fury, Coulson, Sitwell (Who was in Thor if you didn't notice.) Hill, Romanoff and Barton. Sitwell has no chance whatsoever of being made, Coulson fares slightly better and Hill slightly better than Coulson. Fury and Hawkeye are already announced so that leaves Widow who will be announced rather soon, I hope.

Actually in real life most spies/field agents are "balding middle aged men". Not only are people in thier 20s far too young to have risen to the point in thier careers where they would be given high profile assignments, in real life they prefer average looking people for undercover work as they blend into a crowd much more easily than someone who looks like James Bond.

Totally agree, and for those who don't think ht's first thor is a bad figure, I am sure it will be a lot more evident when we see the improvements on the new one.
