Not directed at you but I was thinking about that full body shot we’re using as a comparison. And you know what, that’s not at all what Boba looks like in most of his scenes in the movie. Especially the helmet. I tried to get the figure to look somewhat like that and it’s just not possible. But honestly it seems like a view of Boba that exists only in that one scene.

This is a better angle for how we probably see our figures. Crappy photo though.

Yeah that other shot was also taken from a lower angle, which would make the legs appear longer and mess with the proportions a bit.

Is this a better angle of movie Fett for the comparison since it catches more of the top of the feet?

Does anyone know is the pre-pro version of Fett uses the pistol and holster from the final ESB costume?

Man...lens distortion really makes it hard to see the actual shape of this helmet. Some screen caps from Northern Bullet’s review show the shape in it’s best light, I think. Maybe his camera is farther back?

Kinda funny, but in that shot he actually looks more like the SSC V2 to me (helmet aside of course). I'm sure the muted colors of the pic play into that and make seem more like the kermit green SSC color, but still.. noticed that since in the thread there's a pic of the SSC in the exact same pose right below it lol

Yeah, it's a constant problem on here. So many SW helmets are noticeably different looking with the smartphone lens distortion.

Getting back and zooming in with a real camera lens is about the only way to correct it.

Is this coming stateside a lot earlier than anticipated?

Also, does anyone know if the flamethrower can be safely removed from the PP1 gauntlet?

I’m sure it’s probably glued in pretty good. If you’re customizing, be careful.
HT are actually giving us the PP2 gauntlets. Here are the PP1:

It would be cool if the PP2 gauntlet came with an extending flame thrower, so you could retract it, but it looks fixed. Oh well.

I've always loved the look of the brown patterned gloves of the PP1 and PP2 - one of the design elements I wish they'd kept for the final film costume.

That's a big part of why I'm happy with my SSC Fett... I know it's not perfect compared to references pieces and such, but it looks a lot like what I saw on screen....
But for anyone who doesn't have a Fett at all, the HT is certainly the way to go...

Agreed! I'm going for both, because well, it's Fett!

Got this figure in yesterday and like all the figure but the t visor , the shape is good but it's too wide in the middle same with the one 1/4

These are taken from half way across the room with a zoom lens (can see the distance from the first shot). Tough to tell with this helmet though, the slightest change in angle and it looks so different. Also in reality we're not looking at these figures from across the room all the time, when we view more closely things get distorted by that very fact as well. Lighting wasn't ideal and didn't have the tripod set up for longer exposures.
