Without scanning the entire thread, I’m not sure if anyone has said this, but I stripped the hair of one of these heads today at work and was quite surprised to fine the have a full head including ears under that hair.
It’s also interesting to note that the hair is in three pieces. Top left, top right, and a rear under piece. I have tried adding the head to female bodies I have on hand and it’s always a strain to get the head to sit right. I discovered today you can straight up remove the lower hair piece. It sits better on most female bodies without it. I’m also going to pick up a decent female haired sculpt to steal the hair from it. Here are the pics of the teardown and rebuild with the lower hair part removed.
last pic is the head on a figure I had on a shelf at work and the lower hair removed.

Thanks, that's good info! I've wondered if that was possible as the Larson head sculpt would be good for a multitude of different characters.

Whoah! Good info and you're a brave/adventurous one to go through with it. I must admit it feels somewhat appalling to me when figures are broken down so extensively (but hey, it shows how they're made lol). This would make it much easier I imagine to put on custom rooted hair. Yep, I also couldn't get the head to sit right on some female bodies I tried, so all I ended up doing was stuffing foam in the neck port in the head lol Though, the only body (from what I've tried) I could get it to pop in all the way is the TFA Rey body as it has a longer neck peg to accommodate her longer hair :)

No-one was more surprised than I was to find three pieces of hair under there, lol. And it’s hard to say, but I reckon they just added to the master sculpt of this to make the new one. It’s near identical. Only different hair and a neck. Pretty slim differences. I’ve been perusing EBay to try and find a wig that’s the correct colour.

I just saw Brie Larson will be joining the Fast and Furious cast. Hopefully some company picks up that license and gives us a civilian Brie figure.

Sounds great! A rooted hair Capt Marvel would be rad (plus the custom shared at the top of the page lol).

Yeah. I was thinking of a poor man's replica of same. I'll just need to find a decent female headsculpt with the same hair as Carol and remove the wig for transplant. The only thing i'll need to do is dremel the Carol head to accept the hair.

Here's the SD Costume with the HT sculpt on it. Due to the sculpted hair, putting on the mask will be a bit of a challenge. You'll have to mod the mask or the sculpt to have it sit flat/closer to the face from what I can see.

I think the movie Carol head sculpt looks good enough on it! The disparity between the skin tones doesn't seem too much and come closer. Though the body's a bit too big/muscular for the actress's physique :lol Say, is that an S23B you're using? I have one on standby for when the set arrives :D

I'm personally going to display it with the SD Version so the muscular version works for a comic version of Ms. Marvel. Yes, this is a 23b. If you want something similar in height to hot toys, I usually go for the 25b. The other tbleagues are typically taller. However the neck peg on the 24/25 tend to be a bit smaller so you'll need to use a bit of filler like cling wrap for the adapters to work properly.
