Well the jacket, (to all the people wondering why it’s there) is there to homage this cover from the DeConnick run but it’d be sick as hell if they actually showed her wearing it in the movie.

There's a Marvel Legends figure with the jacket too, there's at least significant enough concept art the toy companies are drawing from

I have been lucky (and patient) and never lost money on a figure I have sold. Most of my sales made me quite a bit of profit.

Even the rare figures that command high prices I managed to get at close to retail (eventually)

Quite a few were gotten below retail.

The key is tempering the “gotta have it now” monster in your psyche and looking for the deals.

Just got Doc Brown BTTF2 for 197 shipped.

The only figure I have never gotten close to retail is Bespin Luke....and I would bet on a reissue before getting that set for close to retail.

This is so true. Patience is key. I wanted a Roadworn Thor for a while but missed him when was up for sale. The aftermarket prices were and still insane but I was patient. Ended up scoring one a few months back for $225 shipped because the peg for his cape broke off and was stuck in the armor. It had an extra peg so was a 5 second fix lol. Rest is mint. Patience

So I ordered the deluxe version off Sideshow using my rewards points..but I did not get a confirmation that I paid the NRD. Are they not doing that now?

This is so true. Patience is key. I wanted a Roadworn Thor for a while but missed him when was up for sale. The aftermarket prices were and still insane but I was patient. Certain figures definitely do lose their value though.

I was able to buy Quicksilver and TWS Nick Fury brand spankin' new for $120-140 price range and a new AOU Ultron Mk I for $100! Patience is definitely a virtue many people seem to lack on this forum with all the constant complaining about delays and wait time and willingness to overpay by $20-50 just to get a figure early.

I never got CW Scarlet Witch cause I thought her value would plummet later on...boy was I wrong haha, but at this point I've also lost interest in picking her up, so that's a win for my wallet!

He’s the Punisher Machine! One of the best Punisher comic arcs In my opinion.

What I have learned from Loki, Doctor Strange, Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Red Skull, BvS Batman: Do not pass on the 1st figure of a new character

We might get a 2nd version in the green suit, but even if she appears in End Game I doubt HT will go for a third release (they did not bother to re-release Falcon, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Star Lord). So this might be the only chance at the blue and red suit.

Ah I don’t think that pertains to Dr. Strange. I am glad I passed on the first release, knowing one for IW would be made. The Infinity War version is much better. The sculpt, the outfit, the hairstyle.

Yeah...I did not think about that. I ordered her at about 7pm EST last night. I'll wait and see.

LOL.. those be fighting words in the Dr Strange thread... Personally I wasn't that confident an Infinity version would be made, but you never know with Hot Toys. Rocket has had three releases, and so far Drax has had just the one..

This could be a situation like Black Panther being close to Infinity War (so it's unlikely we'll ever see an Infinity Panther) ... Even the most of the Guardians ended up Infinity figureless because there wasn't much change from Guardians 2.. Aside from Teenage Groot of course being the obvious, and Rocket basically being rereleased to cash in on the Thor/Groot/Rocket bromancing.

So honestly, I wouldn't bet the dog on Bree being made for Endgame. IF they'd given us the green suit for the solo movie figure, I'd say they are saving the hero suit for the movie, but they didn't.

The only thing I'd bet on with Infinity is that the six core heros will have figures made of them in their hero suits. And I really don't know why people have been panicking about the rumoured realm suits. If they do actually appear in the Endgame movie, we aren't likely to get figures of them..

So I guess I should get this one since Goose and the bomber jacket are exclusives to this set, as in won’t be in Endgame. We also don’t know how big of a role Danvers has in Endgame. What if she ends up like Superman and really evens up the playing field.

The New Avengers version of Scarlet witch can still be found closer to retail on ebay compared to the CW version. It might be a good alternative for CW.

I agree with you on Captain Marvel. Even if they will release an Endgame version (which I doubt since the uniforms look very similar), I doubt if HT will include Goose the cat. There probably won't be enough screen time for Goose and HT has to make the second release different.

A few months ago, there have been rumors about an axe for Captain Marvel in Endgame. It will be a cool accessory if that is true. Has anyone heard of that rumor? I haven't read about it being discussed here. Link to the rumor can be found below.

You know what, those people end up what a closet full of generic looking clothes and cabinets full of uninspiring, dull figures with no significance, no landmarks, no historical milestones...no spirit.
If you don’t have the guts to pay up day one on a figure that stirs your soul whether you take a loss on it or it appreciates to 3x its price, then you will never possess the excitement and satisfaction of owning something that you thought was special from the beginning and now everyone wants to acquire but cannot find.

Some people don't really care what other people want though. I collect what i want and there's varying levels of that which means different amounts i would pay for something. If i have unlimited funds, yeah i'd pay full price. but i don't, so sometimes i have to wait for deals.
