Overall I enjoyed the flick (not perfect but still a fun, solid addition to the universe) and I found Brie Larson to be very engaging and affable in the lead role - I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more of her character in Endgame and future MCU instalments.

As for CM in 1/6 - I've pre-ordered the Deluxe to display with the helmet and I'd certainly be open to a 2.0/Endgame version, if HT go down that route. However, the one I'd really like to see is the green Kree variant as that suit was featured in some of my favourite moments from the film, particularly the fun escape sequence.

Was the comment said in these exact words as you stated here? If so, then that is extremely ridiculous as that is a very tame statement.

I do see they made a post in the group about the ban. I’m guessing that it is about you :lol

I said it in a funny Irish slang way, I'd sure as athin' lay pipe into her big shtyle.

The guy Daniel Yun seems like a dry ****e, he was always at me for having the banter. What did their post say ha?

It was actually great seeing her suit full of creases and having baggy parts, means HT can do the same and we'll have great posing options.

I would love a movie theater that has headphone inputs in the seat so I could listen to my headphones instead of the theater speakers. That way I don't have to listen to the idiots in the theatre laughing, talking or applauding.

Talking is not much of an issue in my theater and applauding is very rare, people laugh but i'm usually laughing with them so it's a none issue. What i hate is the noise from opening of candy or the plasic containers things like nachos come in. very loud and annoying.

My GF and i have switched seats because of the loud sounds from containers.

I don’t have any issues with people laughing or applauding. That’s just people getting engaged in the film.

My pet peeves are when you get a group of younger kids who talk non-stop during the film and the parents say nothing to them to be quiet, or a crying infant and the mother doesn’t leave the theater in order to quiet it; they stay in their seat and try to do so.

That’s considered funny Irish slang :dunno

I must admit that seems fairly crude, but what do I know, supposedly a lot of Aussie slang is taken by others as well. Something may just be lost in the cultural zeitgeist/translation.

I'm so torn whether to get this figure or not.

Didn't mind the film too much. Endgame outfit doesn't look significantly different. If they go and do rooted hair on an Endgame figure (if they do one at all) then I'll be pretty annoyed. She will be an integral member of things going forward I guess.

There we go, convinced myself....

That's tame compared to what people say on her instagram or twitter. It's a cultural thing I suppose, us and the Aussies do use the C word casually where as in the USA it's a big deal.

I think that says more about the people posting on her social media accounts. And I guess that’s why so many celebrities end up disappearing or even deleting their accounts.

And I wouldn’t say it’s used casually in Australia, but more like any other insult I guess.

Estimated takings so far are $153 million domestic, $455 million worldwide.

Now I must admit that that worldwide figure is a lot higher than I was expecting. Though just last week I wasn’t sure if it would hit even $100-120 million domestic because of all the negative reactions I was reading in US media sites.

It almost seems like a lot of the people who swore off watching it, actually went in the end?

I know a celebrity at that level lives a wildly privileged life. But part of the price for that life is loss of privacy and millions of strangers feeling entitled to attack you -- not in a cogent and rational fashion -- but with vile ad hominems and threats. That's a poor showing for the general public.

LOL...surprise!

Our little social media world is tiny compared to the real world. So a a few thousand people on Facebook saying they will never watch it is nothing. I know around work if someone mentioned what is going on with the movie most would just say "sexist trolls" and that was the end of the discussion.

So most folks did not care or did not know all the crap going on and just went to make up their own minds. I ignored it and actually did not read what she said until after i watched the movie and in context i have no idea why it's a big deal.

If everything was taken in context I think a lot of the current inflammatory ‘articles’ would not exist to create any ‘clicks’.

But they rely on individuals who don’t read past the headline or the first paragraph.

Though to play devils advocate it wasn’t the smartest thing in the world to use the “40 year old white men” line (in what I found to be reasonable in context, but), which represents a large enough chunk of the audience who are probably sick of being the proverbial punching bag to make various points, in American society.

Wow. Spectacular job boycotting this one, fellas.
