I wonder what % of ANH vader owners even turned on the belt lights? I know I never have.
I think most people never turn on the electronics in these things. It's a wasted expenditure and if it would lower the price at all I would happily kick the gimmick to the curb.

Glad to see a new Vader from HT tho. I dallied on getting one for so long, but the girlfriend insists it's a gap in the collection so I'm happy to have a shot at one.

As soon as you commit to this Inart will announce their versions. :)

If they made it easier to turn the lights on, I'm sure more would. Say what you want about the Sideshow Vader, but all you have to do is flip one switch at the back and both the belt and chest box lights turn on. Super easy and the batteries last quite awhile. I've had my SS Vader for a little over a year now and have not had to change the batteries once. And I turn the lights on about once a week for about 5-10mins each time.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), Queen/InArt has mentioned getting any Disney license is very tough these days. JND has also said the same thing.

If Inarts release any Darth Vader figure then I will officially be beat up by my wife

So...from the Sideshow booth tour, the way the presenter worded everything seemed interesting. I may be grasping for straws here but this may have been a "place holder" before Hot Toys reveals their official "Kenobi" Darth Vader. That they're keeping a few things under wraps but that we will be getting a Darth Vader.

It'd make sense, especially if they're aren't allowed to reveal all accessories (Hayden head sculpt) with him yet.

I swear to God, if 5 years from now, while I'm in the middle of my X-Men collection and have more or less finished with Star Wars, QS/IA announce Marvel & SW licenses, then I'm throwing everything into a fire and going full-on minimalism mode.

Joking, obviously I'll just round up my HT collections then head to IA for "just the important ones"...

Queen did mention back in January I believe they hoped to get SW by the end of this year or early next year. But like you said I’m sure it’s very difficult to get it. Hopefully they have been in talks with Disney.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of all of the accessories they would include, especially a potential Hayden Christensen head sculpt. Maybe even with the bottom part of the mask on. It may be wishful thinking but I think the comments the presenter made are starting to ring more true.

RO if you like a shiny Vader with a big diaper looking cod piece maybe...

The original ANH is still the best for me... But with some tweaks, like a set of gloves from the Tarkin 2pk & the boots w/straps. The 2 upgrades I did.

The problem with the Tarkin one is they gave him the RO chest piece (too big) and lightsaber, which is the wrong lightsaber hilt. Don't know why they did that.

Atm for me the best Vader is from Tarkin because of its on screen accuracy, but having said that I like Rogue one too, he is shinier & have more menacing presence with the slightly taller and wider body type.
