Let's hope that proto display of Obi Wan Vader is just a placeholder, HT might surprise us later.

The surprise is you put down an NRD for normal Vader, then a few months later they put up super cool battle damaged Vader for preorder.

Don’t preorder right away, folks. These won’t sell out and Sideshow won’t ship your figure faster.

Mangled Hayden Vader.... $325 regular

Mangled Hayden Vader.... with mangled Hayden sculpt... $379

It must be priced higher than this, or Hot Toys/Sideshow wouldn't be living up to their unholy secret mission statement. So over $420.

🤣 but it wasn't diecast though.

I remember the kerfuffle here about that. The price would have been easily justified if only it were diecast.

I’m going to start a company that makes diecast toilet paper so I can generate enough money to buy Hot Toys.

I will release Bespin Han, Endor Han, Arena Padme, Queen Padme, ESB Chewbacca, C-3PO, and a line of plastic Iron Man figures that look better than the diecast ones but cost $100 less just to really twist the knife.

I didnt get the ESB vader because I thought we would be getting a more accurate ROTJ version, but we get this amalgamation of the ANH and ESB version instead. I do wonder if this vader is also a little bigger than the previous versions since hot toys started upscaling everything?

I only saw the helmet on this a brief moment but it looks like the widows peak is back. Were the tusks aligned more like the Esb or Anh versions? I know someone here will know. There are a lot of ifs for me.

So...from the Sideshow booth tour, the way the presenter worded everything seemed interesting. I may be grasping for straws here but this may have been a "place holder" before Hot Toys reveals their official "Kenobi" Darth Vader. That they're keeping a few things under wraps but that we will be getting a Darth Vader.
