Keeps happening as people cancel Leia to preorder ESB Vader.

I'm sure when stock arrives they will have plenty. Can't remember the last figure that wasn't available once shipped.

I think Deadpool was in that category, though they later released some extra stock. New Hope Vader was also like that, I believe.

Yeah that cardboard top layer thing looks cheap to me. Grill stands and the sand/snow are much better!

The cardboard layer stands comes across as cutting corners and out of character for the details HT provides especially when you look at Endor Luke and Leia. We pay the big dollars for the amount of detail not printed cardboard environment bases.

That’s why I started casting the tops so I could switch out the environment bases. Different characters could have multiple themed bases. Can’t wait to get my hands on the Death Star decking base that comes with Han Stormie. I’m going to make stands for all my ESB Bounty Hunter line up.

It seems like the figures from the newer films come with the cheaper cardboard top bases. The Original Trilogy stuff remains pretty nice looking. Although I think Luke from Return of the Jedi has a cardboard topper but the base itself still looks nice and has the diorama elements to it. I mostly don’t like the the stands that have a printed image of the character like the Rogue One bases. My deluxe Jyn is the only one like that I have but I just use the plain black base without the topper.

Didn’t the old Han sell out pretty quickly after release from both Sideshow and BBTS? I forget when he released though. I just barely snagged one up before it was gone.

ANH Vader was sold out at SSC then went back up when I ordered him. I think HT sends them more or maybe they make another batch.
Those Rogue One comic strip base stickers never leave the box. Cheapens the figure imo.

Looks fantastic. I was on the fence for ANH Leia but now I am glad that I skipped (face is fantastic btw, but that dress back me off).

This version is mine for sure.

I had to chop the neck down on the body cause I didn’t want to mess with the neck on the dx07 head. Plus the pets would have been in the way of a neck post.

Thanks for the info, Jim. Did you need to mod the feet/ankles to accommodate the DX07 boot pegs or does this figure rely on the stand for support?
