I've had 2 from the first HK batch as the first had a scuff on the wrist communicator, they've both been perfect no ink spots. I can't understand where the ink would come From?

I've seen it on Hasbro figures before. I think its a temporary dye they use for workers to place add-on fabric pieces onto as it goes to the sewing machine. My guess is its rinsed in water after sewing and the ink washes out but for some reason a few didn't get rinsed. If you pull apart 12" hasbro figure clothes (to multi-folded areas like Leia's padding areas,) you can see dots where the water didn't penetrate due to several layers of fabric.

Got mine from Loontentoys this week and it's covered in ink spots. They have offered to replace the jumpsuit if I send it back, but I thought i'd try to remove it myself first.
I've got some alchohol rub and cotton wool buds coming from amazon in the Next few days (apparently this is good for getting ink out of fabric). I'll let you know how I get on. Could save a lot of time and hassle and should only cost a few pounds/dollars.

I'm beginning to think that getting this figure from a company that has good CS like Sideshow is a good idea.

Managed to remove every ink spot from mine with some rubbing alchohol. Stinks a bit Now though...

No, no weathering on there at all. Takes a bit of time to rub it all off, but was infinitely better than paying to ship it all the way to hong kong and then wait another 2-3 weeks for a replacement. Only thing to look out for is the plastic part on her left sleeve. I rubbed a small amount of the paint off of it while rubbing the spots, luckily it's not noticable.

Sideshow's henchmen still read these forums. We already have a guy saying that rubbing alcohol removes the spots. I can already imagine the customer service replies...
