So.... 1/6 scale? Can anyone confirm?

Looks like we have some conflicting info.

It's big enough. If it can fit a 1/6 figure in the cockpit comfortably, which this undoubtedly does, it's big enough. It's not like it's this.

Here I was thinking it was hard to display the Jabba and throne. This TIE doesn't need a cabinet it needs a garage.

It would have to be Sideshow's pilot otherwise they would have shown it.

This is pretty much the biggest SDCC shocker in many years. But... how many $$$$$$$$ are we talking here?

For sure it is not HT's pilot. Most likely SSC.

This will cost A LOT! I believe will come with lights, display base, and a huge box.

DeLorean and Batmobile prices put together?

I can by this. Cost never is an issue any more. It's the space this damn thing would take up! :lol

I don't know if it can be done! ????

What an amazing piece. I wish i had michael jackson collectible space to display this. Also his money would help :p

Official site says 8.99meters: TIE fighter | StarWars.com

What I am basing my dimensions off of is the 1/24 scale studio model which is 18" tall by 14" wide. Times that by 4 an you have 72" tall by 56" wide. This is a verifiable measurement to what was seen on screen. So when I say it is not a direct 1/6 translation of the studio model, it is 100% correct. That is what matters to me.

I tend to agree with Jack; based on his experience with 1:1 stuff I find him pretty credible; and the many discussions I've read on the TIE scale as they appeared on screen indicates they're actually meant to be bigger than many fans think. Eyeballing that (gorgeous) TIE...it looks a touch under-sized, not that I care in this context. I really don't.

Probably never produced. If it is... *readies divorce papers at legalzoom.com*

My girl would pre-divorce me. OR...I could just get her a bigger diamond. There has to be a way around this...

Actually, realistically speaking, I would ditch every other collectible I own, and display this in our studio space. The room is 30 X 14 so it'd scale well sitting at the end of the room, all by itself. A testament to that 1977 film that burned its way into my impressionable young nerd brain.

That thing is so impressive, I'd be happy with it as the sole representation. I just love seeing the pilot through that cockpit screen.

wow... thats over $2000 .. but who has the space for such a thing !?!? :lol
