If they did... I would probably buy it and put it with either my AOTC/Clone Wars display or TFA display. For now though, I can not pass up SSC versions.

The EX could be a 2-pack where Threepio has the TFA red arm.

It's strange they didn't hide the wire better. Seems like they could've had the exit point right over the support rod and ran it down through there.

Im sure the wire is just for an external power supply, specifically for the convention display and not part of the actual model we'd be getting.

If HT decides to sell this :monkey3

This thing would be north of 2k. I'd say 4000 as it sits. But they could change it to make it easier to produced and a little cheaper. Also, the pace of Star Wars releases is pretty impressive. I hate hot toys for getting the license, though it being Howard's fav I wasn't surprised..but I've stayed away from Star Wars. I'm a completest so Star Wars scares the poo out of me. Way to much stuff. But, I've been sucked in. Dang it. Saw this neat "thing" showing all the releases/PO in the last yearish.

And just like that we've got TFA Snowtroopers added to the mix.

In the last ~12 months Sideshow and Hot Toys have updated every figure from Kenner's "first 12" with two exceptions - the Sandperson and "Death Star Commander". I hope we still see them.

Don't like the SS Tusken? I like it but would be interested to see what a new version would look like.

Yeah, think there's some confusion, as there's no way the 1:6 is going for $500. Last time I checked, they weren't much more than retail.

Yea it's a proto. The way it's set up now running wires would require using a CNC or metal lathe to cut the huge aluminum hubs. With a proto that's been tore down 6-10 times for shows and testing and may never get made I don't think it was worth the time and money.

Back from the dead. What a fuss this thing created when it appeared from nowhere. This was back when con prototypes were usually produced.

Lol. It took me a while to find this thread. It was about forty pages deep in the SW section.

I have found that the easiest way to dig up an old thread is to Google the name of the product and add "Freaks" or "Sideshow Freaks" to the search.
