I think there might be - I believe I saw a pic somewhere where he was posed with a wide stance with feet still flat on the surface.

Maybe they've gone for a softer material, sort of like Superman V2 boots. Then again, I don't think the ankle joints in V2 Supes were strong enough to hold the pose for a long time.

Don't have the BB V1, were the ankles completely immobile? Were the boots completely solid?

I'm more impressed that it looks like the legs may bend more than Tak Batman.

Same here... One of the worst things about the old HT Batman, leg articulation killed. Couldn't do much more than stand there. :lol

I just put in my order for the Tumbler through Joe... Guess I have to start saving. :D

Lol, yea, will prolly go the Toy Square route, $488.45 shipped.

What, do you live on the border with Canada? Shipping to CA is $112.92. :monkey4

I never got Joe's e-mail either. What was his final price?

My quote was $476.68, and yes I do live on the border with Canada...

One of the few (very few) benefits of residing in the frozen north, I guess.:D

Come on, largest mall in America AND Garrison Keillor? What's not to love about your town? :D

For some reason my quote was actually a little over $3 cheaper, and I'm in central IL. Did you choose UPS for the shipping method, The Boot?

I always go with UPS from Toys2, it's (at least in my experience) always cheaper than the Canada Post option. As far as the 3 bucks is concerned, it must be a Chicago Vs. Minneapolis thing. Hubs n' whatnot. Who knows the inner workings of the mighty UPS?

:lol

It really is one helluva mall, I'll give it that. Then again, at the end of the day, it's just a mall. A big-@$$ mall to be sure, but a mall nonetheless. A Gap is a Gap is a Gap, ya know what I'm sayin'? :p

If Google maps is right, Toys2 is outside Toronto and about 4 hours away from Detroit. This must account for why it's cheaper to ship to IL than MN.

If it didn't cost so much to fly (and if they still let you check luggage) I'd consider flying in and pick up the Batmobile.

Yea, choose UPS instead of the canadian post stuff.

That IS the UPS price.

Slightly off topic but still Tumbler/Batpod related here is the promotional event from Silverstone with the Toyota F1 team. :D

Kids argue over all sorts of things. We're sure that if you stood around a school yard for long enough, well... you may get picked up by the cops. But not before you hear a couple of kids arguing over something as rediculous as, "What's faster, the Batmobile or a race car?"

Until recently, it would've seemed like a pointless question. But after others like "What's faster, a Lamborghini or a fighter jet?" have already been answered, Toyota decided to have a go at it and brought the Batmobile to Silverstone during the run-up to this past weekend's British Grand Prix.
