Hot Toys 1/6 Tumbler/Batpod Batman

Just requested to cancel 2 figure orders from toys2 - the enterbay '24' figures. The currency exchange situation worsened again today and the Tumbler has gone up to 530 for me. I also asked that they charge me straight away for Bank robber joker, two-face, Iron man marks II and III and the tumbler. If they go ahead with that I'm going to have a massive visa bill in the very near future (which will also include Kane&Dallas from sideshow). I have a decent sum of cash on hand so will be able to pay it. Its money I was going to spend on these toys anyway, just didn't reckon on having to part with it all in one go. However, starting by cancelling the '24' figures, I'm going to rein myself in. Stop branching out into lines and licenses I haven't previously collected or considered - and all around be much more selective especially when an average hot toys figure could soon cost over 200 euros. I will want to build back up those savings. Just wish it wasn't friday evening. I'll have to wait till next week for word on this.

Play.com have a good range of merchandise at least equal to Forbidden Planet however, neary £400.00 for the tumbler is ridiculous...

They do seem to have a habit of dropping their prices as it gets closer to release. If I'd have known I'd have ordered my Hot Toys Joker from them, true I'd still be waiting, but I wouldn't have got stung for an extra £25 import duty

The delay in the release of the Tumbler and Batpod is most disappointing. The only bright side to it is that I currently do not have much items shipping between Jan and Apr 09.

OK so some advice needed! Urgently.

I ordered the Tumbler from Toys2 back in June 07 when my currency converter estimated I'd be paying 430Euros...which was expensive enough as it was....fast forward to October 23rd 2008 and now my currency converter says I'll be paying 525Euros!! Toys2 don't charge my card until its ready to ship..which won't be till march 2009!! This thing is going to get more and more expensive no? What do I do? I really want it but I already thought 430euros was pushing it!

Just pay with paypal,instant payment and you dont need to worry about the money anymore.

The currency has gone up like crazy here lately too,i would have to stop buying these figures if this continues to go up.

Only now do I see the benefits of paypal.

Anyways, silly me I forgot with the time difference I could still get an email from toys2 today and I wouldn't necessarily have to wait till monday - sure enough I got a reply on my cancellation requests and about charging my card for all my orders now rather than later. They OKed everything.

So, great...if the currency exchange keeps getting worse and worse. Bad if it swings back around! That'll be a kick in the face. And yet I would want it to swing back around so that future purchases won't hurt so much. I fear to see my next cc bill. One is never sure exactly how much it'll be. I'll have the doe to pay it all at once its just that I never envisioned spending so much in one swoop.

Still a chance for the Batpod. Doubt you'll have the Tumbler under your X'mas tree though.....(estimated release is March-May of 09)

Yup it looks like a wire inside. They really need to hire someone to proofread their English though (cough cough....I'm available).....Batman cape with holder...Does that mean a wire inside the cape? Or do they mean an actual cape holder/stand thing??

I've already got the Hot Toys original suit, TDK suit and Joker V1. BR Joker, Harvey and Tumbler and Batpod are the next on my list. I've been using BigBadToyStore for these.
