A little Off Topic, nice to see this suit again in the new comic "Batman 89"...

Man, I don't know about it.

I do not wanna get catfished again on another 2.0 Keaton.

I'm strongly considering just picking up the original release. The new one looks to have a very similar mouth plate to 89 2.0 unless I'm just crazy.

And I'm now 100% sure I absolutely hate the updated cowl on this.

Think I prefer pretty much everything from the original. I almost get Batman Forever vibes from this cowl. Weird.

Yeah definitely feels like the 1.0 returns seemingly looks better.

Pretty sure they over textured the cowl like the 89 2.0.
The mouth plates look like he was already 50 years old…

The cowl ... I haven't seen any comparison shots so I'm really not sure about it. The mouth plates will soften in production like they always do. Are those different sculpts?

I think I may just be easy to please but I am really looking forward to this one. I have the original but any and all Batman Returns figures are incredibly hard to pass on. I loved 89 but Returns just hit all the right notes for me. Absolutely reflected Batman in the comics at that time and brought him to life.

Just take in consideration original release can ever move the legs.

In the pics from Secret Base you can see the suit is a new material with a major range of movement.

I have the 1.0 and legs can be posed not far away, even that, 2.0 has ankle separation in the boots.

I took these in-person. There's an ever so slight texture on the the cowl but it's not overdone like the 89 2.0 suit, and to be honest it's better that the cowl has some texture to give some worn effect. As someone who doesn't own the Returns 1.0, I'm excited to receive this on release. Although the most apparent shortfall is the wired cape, if any figure needs two capes: drape and wired, its Batman but they've only given you those with Batfleck Deluxe 2.0.

That's what I tried to explain, there's no way you can leave the legs in that way, the original suit is so restrictive

Any if we're talking about face plates, this Returns 2.0 is miles better. The 89 2.0 is a massive let down because the only one that resembles Keaton is the bloodied one.

Really? The suit looks the same to me, just like they didn't fix any articulation in the '89 2.0 release.

Thanks for sharing these pics. Figure looks great to me. If only the production version turns out this good. One of life's great mysteries is why Hot Toys can never produce a decent Batman cape.
