Dude that's a nobody if I've ever seen one, unless you are an extreme nerd like us you don't care or even know about the likes of Eomar and the new Bones McCoy...

sorry, man. this was a fail post if ever i saw one :lol don't forget he was a badass in RED and bourne too.

loved the movie, loved the way he portrayed dredd, and even the outfit grew on me. i thought before i watched the movie it was a shame it didn't look more like the comics. but it worked. hopefully we see a sequel and maybe they'll change things up.

would definitely buy a whole series of dredd figs from HT. at least they'd look interesting on the shelf.

I'm assuming Hot Toys didn't bother because they thought this would be another massive failure like Green Lantern. Probably no one thought this would be good, but I hear it is great. Can't wait to see it this Sunday.

Movie looks solid. Reviews are good. I might consider getting a Dredd if they released one.

Wow. Literally just got back from watching the film. Hot Toys... if you're reading this, I will buy every figure you release from this movie!

I saw it last night and although I love to have the HT version, I'm very happy with my 1/4 diorama EX statue by POP Culture.
I don't know by the time you go Mod a figure you spend as much as a giant statue anyways! That's if HT doesn't join the JD party soon then there is at least a nice statue to hold you over

Considering this wasnt a Huge production of a film, i assume Hot toys didnt go after the liscense, cosndiering like 95% of Hot Toys recent figures have been Comic Book Blockbusters.

Hot toys need to go after these liscenses more!!! A Dredd Figure would be awesome!!! I Hope its in the cards!

I just got back from seeing it. This will be a cult classic I'm sure of it. This film was absolutely amazing. Everyone I saw it with agreed. No one thought it would be this incredible. It's the best movie I saw this summer and we all want to see it again. The special effects and pacing were so masterfully done and some of the humor was terrific. Also the 3D was done surprisingly well. Usually movies really try to use it as a gimmick, but here it felt very natural.

The lack of a 1/6 figure is the shame of our lives. The one license Hot Toys assumes was going to be bad turns out far superior to all the others they grabbed.

And hell no a 3A Dredd is nothing. Bad sculpted hands with no accessories and such.

Yeah a Dredd & Anderson would look really cool in 1/6, but we have heard nothing from HT about them making these figures :dunno

I saw Avengers and Dark Knight Rises. Avengers is your typical big mainstream summer action film. A lot of fun to watch and then you move on. I thought Dark Knight Rises was the weakest of the trilogy and significantly worse than the other two, but it seems like most disagree. Dredd 3D though is my pick of the summer. Really enjoyed it. There are some scenes that just leave you with your jaw on the ground (incendiary shot as an example). It struck me as highly original with how it was done too. Very memorable film. Somewhat like a cross between a serious Robocop (one of my all time favorite films) and Escape from New York (another personal favorite).

I'm not sure what ASM is supposed to be though?

If all else fails this might be something we could all try to get commissioned. Since they would only need to get good likeness for the bottom half of the face I could imagine getting a very good high end custom of him for a relatively fair price.

This is one time Im happy Im more of a statue collector. Im a big fan of the comics and the movie just amplifies the great character for me. I got my statue coming and Im proud to display it along with my 3D blue ray when this comes out. You get a sense when they do a movie right, people who dont know JD will be going after the source.
Yes this movie will have some cult following and people will seek out whatever JD they can get. I sure hope for you guy's sake HT gets this license and moves forward.

What is this statue you guys are talking about? I might need to look into it. I definitely want something to represent this film in my collection. I will have to look into the comics too. I've never seen or read anything related to Dredd before today.

EDIT: I just saw some images of the 1/4 Pop Culture Shock dio. Honestly it doesn't interest me at all.

funny you should say that. the idea for robocop came during the development of the first judge dredd movie. while the project was in limbo, one of the producers (i think it was) went away and created robocop using a lot of the key elements from dredd - dystopian futuristic mega city, a dedicated emotionless lawman, and brutal ultraviolence.

and read the books!!!

I have no idea where to start! The movie definitely left me wanting more Dredd though. I really hope they make a sequel.

It's a pipe dream but I'd definitely buy this,

Judge Dredd 1/6 figure

- helmeted head with scowl (non removable of course)
- true type body
- body armor (with removable ab plate for alternate bullet wound look)

- multiple hands (fists, gestures, etc.)

- Lawgiver pistol (with different attachments like semi-auto)
- grenades
- gas grenade
- sonic device
- micro phone bomb
- wrist pad
- ammo clips
