Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 1/6th scale Heavy Weapons Clone Trooper and BARC Speeder with Sidecar Collectible Set

An army is only as effective as its mobility, so the Grand Army of the Republic was outfitted with an increasingly varied and versatile vehicle pool as the Clone Wars progressed. The BARC speeder gave clone troopers increased operational range, great speed, mobility, and firepower otherwise unavailable to the foot soldier. A more aggressive and bulkier design than slimmer speeder bikes used by the Jedi, the BARC speeder was used in scouting and escort missions on a variety of worlds. They were easily adaptable, with support struts that could be added to hold a stretcher or sidecar.

The world of Star Wars collectibles is continuing to grow today as Hot Toys is thrilled to introduce an astonishing 1/6th scale Heavy Weapons Clone Trooper and BARC Speeder with Sidecar collectible set inspired by the popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series!

The highly-detailed collectible figure is specially crafted based on the appearance of Heavy Weapons Clone Trooper. It features skillfully developed Clone Trooper armor and helmet, a blaster rifle, a satchel bag, and a display base!

The brand new 1/6th scale BARC Speeder measures at 68cm in length and comes with an attachable sidecar armed with articulated blaster. The vehicle has detailed mechanical structure, astonishing paint application with weathering effects, articulated handle bars, and a rocky themed base for variety of poses.

This collectible set will definitely be an extraordinary addition to any Star Wars collection.

Not confirmed yet; just speculation on my part. There seems to be the 501st Heavy Gunner skin from Battlefront 2 in the video Hot Toys posted.

Possibly a VGM release if it makes it to production.

Wow. Some may love this, others may see it as wasted resources. I’m in the latter group. But, I think this is more a fun creation by an HT employee, maybe Howard himself has made it? Don’t think we’ll see it making it to pre order.

If it makes it, it might be the release that makes people start feeling Cloned out like some of the later Sideshow releases.

Especially if this gets released before the 212th and 212th Airborne.

I’m happy to get more Clones, but Sideshow did milk that cow dry and even I felt the trooper fatigue. People can only take so much.

I’m definitely all for kamas. Fees like there’s something missing without it.

There’s another Clone with what looks like some Heavy Gunner armor bits and a kama on a 501st body. Maybe a Specialist, though wrong gear.

An optional kama for the Heavy would be nice. Could be some kind of Clone accessory set.

Precisely. Most collectors don’t have space nor funds to fill with endless trooper variants. When half of your collection contains clones, I guess not many will enjoy collecting new variants. Many may have been burnt by buying too many coruscant and 501st clones already. We’ve yet to see the 212th, 327th and 91st recon troopers up for preorder, but they are most likely coming. Save up for the many cool versions to come! AOTC line’s just started.

That fatigue is something I believe, could break a collectors interest in a whole line, or even out of 1:6 collecting. Easy cash grab in the short run, long run they’ll need to do interesting characters from both PT and OT. Otherwise they’ll slowly kill the market. HT directors are smart, think they’ve learnt from SS mistake.

Agreed. Definitely throws the balance off. With the kama, it was perfect.

Possibly Officer, missing the rangefinder and doesn’t need the pauldron though. Maybe just a stand in or a multi option set.

Think this would work as a nice exclusive, but so many other clones need to come before this. I'd pick one up, but wouldn't go crazy with him.

You mean you don’t want the version of the BARC from the fever dream episode where Rex gets shot in the chest and everyone takes their sweet time doing something about it so he can meet some hybrid Twi’lek-human children, a Clone deserter, and the perfectly understandable reason for said desertion?

But in all seriousness, let’s cut to the chase. We’re going to order both BARC Speeders, we’re going to throw our wallets in a drawer somewhere to muffle their cries, and we’re going to love having both versions on display.

I foresee a future where a lot of people talk themselves into the Appo release to save $80 on a sidecar, and this heavy+sidecar is the version that hits the crazier prices on the secondary market.
