Wow! All these damage reports frighten me a bit... Why is the Aliens warrior much more fragile than the AvP Alien? At least, so it seams. Good to know that these must be handled with much much more care than other 1/6 scale figures. That beeing said, I have no idea when Sideshow will send me my Alien Warrior.

I'm wondering if there's a bad wave of these figures. I got mine through Toys2 and was one of the first on the boards here to get it and I haven't had any issues with breakage of flaking on my warrior and I put it through a great deal of posing for my photography sessions, as did edwint and he reported some flaking but I don't recall anything said about breakage of any kind. It seems like the negative reports didn't start coming in until, what seems to be, wave 2 started shipping out.

This week, could be abad batch, uh-oh, we'll see...

Hey MF, what ever happened to the crawler shots bro?

Coming Paul, I've been wanting to finish, but my dad's been stuck in a chair for a couple weeks now with bad pain in his arm from some nerve problems, he's starting to feel better, but I've been keeping him company when I'm around to do it and put all my photos and things on hold, but I do miss them so as soon as I can get back to them I have every intention of doing so.

Are there particular joint issues to watch out for? Is it the arms or legs?

I want to be careful with my alien when he arrives, so if there's any concesus it would be helpful.

On mine it was the knee joint.
I wrote HT to see if they can send me a replacement part. I'll let you guys know what happens.

I got mine through Sideshow and he's fine! And I manuevered the joints to their extremes and their fine.

I just suggest being a little careful when first moving joints. With the summer heat and these figures, some of the plastic and rubber will "expand" so to speak and joints can initially be difficult to move. The joint can just be "locked" in and needs some slow coaxing to move properly.

Thanks Sean, you've sure done more than enough with all your amazing imagery of the Warrior so take your time dude. I'm experiencing some serious Dad health issues as well, know what you're going through, hang in there kid. :D

Got both of my warriors from Sideshow last Thursday and they are both PERFECT, FLAWLESS, PRIMO! Even the feet stay in the ball sockets. I couldn't be happier with them.

The paint job is superb and it looks like Hot Toys really took in how lighting reflects on it (whether intentional or not) so it look identical to the Aliens in the actual film.

It also looks like Hot Toys took the advice about the rubber cracking and splitting at some points and sprayed some sort of preserve on it...which is great! Of course, it has made some of the parts have a "sticky" feel to them.

Does anybody know what kind of rubber preservative spray this would be? I'd like to spray my Rocky and Rambos with some kind of preservative to protect them from deteriorating.

Thanks Paul, and I hope things work out with your father too.

I see a lot of people speculating that the stickyness on the warrior is protective for the rubber, I'd be very curious to find out official word because I took it to be a means to simulate the slime effect that is trademark of the xenomorphs.

Finally took some shelf shots of my Aliens collection, bug included.... Still, I will probably touch mine up at a later date. But for now it holds the shelf just fine. :D

Nice pics Josh, how 'bout a mini review bro.

I'd be leary of chemical solvents reacting to the rubber.

They are designed for preserving rubber. Really don't anticipate any problems and I'm only gonna use them after prolongued display, sun exposure to protect against drying and cracking.

If the fig doesn't need it I won't use them...

I used ArmorALL spray on my AVP alien warrior.
It's been a week or two now, and I must say..... it's better than new.

Yeah, like I said they're made for this.

Hey Facebox, do you remember who made that under gravel filter plate? Was it Lee's?
