The sculpt is throwing me off and what it feels like is really making it difficult to commit is the hair. A wet look or at least slicked back look would really sell this thing.

I 100% agree. I kind of feel that the hair works well enough at least for the JL version, but it just doesn't do this one justice.

They might surprise us with a wet look hair. Assuming they read the forums.

Yeah the hair looks ridiculously stupid.

This is now the last hope of getting a decent Aquaman figure. Please hot toys don't go full ****** on this and give it articulation cuts across the chest and elbows like a cheap action figure! You are not charging 20 bucks for this.

They are waiting until after the CM, Endgame and Shazam tsunami passes before announcing Aquaman figures. They would get lost in all that hype.

I have a feeling that we'll see more Endgame than anything else in May/June and then you'll see a bunch of stuff in July at SDCC. I have a feeling we'll get a couple of more figures from this line probably from Shazam there too.

I know Hot Toys make stupid decisions... but man they really went above and beyond announcing a 2-second Stan Lee cameo from a 3 year old movie figure over doing a Mera, Black Manta, Ocean Master or Shazam figures. It almost feels like they're doing to on purpose now

They are just worried DC stuff would not sell well. We are still close to End Game, so they want to sell as much of marvel stuff as they can before hype train run out of fuel. Something like that imo.

Seems they are just going back to the DC they know sells, Nolan trilogy.

Well we would not want any of aquaman figures to be exclusives the might be hard to acquire , but you are right spiderman movie drops and he has 4 figures from one movie. Your boy aquaman was lucky to even have one such a wasted opportunity.

How do you figure?
Yeah to be honest Hot Toys probably waited way too long at this point even if they were to do a Mera. Especially with Marvel's Endgame releases stacking up along with Spiderman I don't know if I could see it doing too well at this point. It's a shame that they aren't paying any attention to DC movies at all, especially with the JL superman being delayed for a ridiculous amount of time, but I can't blame them. Marvel sells.

I'm holding out hope they have him on display at Comic Con and they tweaked the prototype to look better (hair especially) but I feel like that's a pipe dream and he will come out as is.
