I was officially not wanting this BUT if HT goes into as nice detail on the hair and outfit as they did on Sparrow I may get him....waiting for in hand pics..

Hmmm, they may make more from Avatar but I don't see them doing plain human Sam Worthington. Variations of Na'vi Jake, Quarritch and Neytiri will probably be the only things they'll consider IMO.

I think it's interesting that this figured is labeled "Jake Sully" and not "Na'vi Jake" or "Final Battle Jake." Kind of makes it sound like this might be only Jake we see.

^ I don't see a human Jake figure being done by Hot Toys.

Neytiri however is a bare minimum release for this line, to not make her is a big FAIL, hopefully she diesn't become one of the many they have made.

You know I thought she was the fan favorite but according to Google there are 3,120,000 links on the web for Neytiri but a massive 10,800,000 links under "Jake Sully."

Note the feet is a looks to be a single piece in the retail... instead of the articulated 2 pieces (like the 1/6 TT feet) of the prototype

Ahhhh, i actually like the feet articulation, i don't get why people hate joints on figures, that's part and parcel of the package :dunno

What do you need batteries for? The base? If so none of the DX or Ironman figures include batteries.

Er, yeah they have, every iron man and lighted DX base has included batteries

Personally I only dislike the joints being visible, not their function.

Thats kinda what i meant, i understand why people don't like visible joints, but that's just part of it being a posable figure.

The amount of people who passed when this first went up for order just becuase it had visible joints was stupid, it's a figure not a statue which means it needs joints and since non-visible joints suck with current tech it means it has to be visible or not at all.
