Seems like there was an issue with wrist pegs breaking, but not much else.
I got this guy recently, I'm pretty happy with it!

It is fragile. Bought mine a few years back and the shoulder joint broke pretty much right away, brand spanking new out of the box. There’s a post somewhere on the forum (or maybe it’s a YouTube video I’m thinking of) where someone shows how to take the body apart and repair the shoulder joint with a metal rod or screw. It was a pretty common issue with this figure. Got it set up in a pose with a little super glue to hold the arm in the body and haven’t dared touch it since.Without pouring over old posts, did I miss a memo about the fragility of this figure? I’m not out driving golf balls with mine, but I don’t get the impression that it will fall apart if I look at it wrong
I ask based on Justin’s review
The original Jake figure was prone to breakage. There haven't been any reports on the new ones, breaking, so there is hope Hot Toys have learned from their mistakes for the new figures.Considering getting Jake and Neytiri but I heard that the bodies break easily. Is this true? I'm fine with tight joints but not if the $380 figure is likely to straight up break
If I warm it with a hairdryer is there a risk of warping the paint? Ordinarily I wouldn't worry but these figures have detailed patterns applied directly to their skin as opposed to wearing clothesThe original Jake figure was prone to breakage. This is for all plastic figures in general. If you feel any sort of resistance with the articulation, use a hairdryer to heat up the plastic. The plastic will be less rigid and therefore less likely to snap with pressure. Warm plastic may bend a little, but not snap.
