To all saying PT 1 car and PT 2 car... they're both PT 1 car.

Since Diamond was able to give us add on Mr Fusion and a wheel switch, I'd hope Hot Toys could do the same.

I so want to order this just to secure one (even though I'm sure it won't sell out) but I'm dreading finding out how much shipping is going to be. If the 89 Batmobile was that much that sucks if this will be in the same neighborhood. The flex payments will ease the blow a bit for me. Luckily I don't have much on preorder for next year and am going to try and keep it that way. The only thing that may mess with my plans is if Hot Toys announces the Blake, Gordon, and Bat Signal set which will be expensive too. Screw this hobby sometimes. :lol

But have any of you seen her lately? I met her in March and she moved from Hill Valley to Botox City

Will we get accessories for this like, say the mr.fusion reactor or the '55 hood to mix and match to show the Delorean from the later movies? Can we switch it flying mode? Coz if we can't then no use in buying. Pretty sometime in the future they're going to release Deloreans from BTTF Part 2 and 3...

The thing is I wonder how many people realistically would buy more than one DeLorean. Even for the biggest of fans I think that one piece at this price is enough and I sort of doubt two other versions would sell as well. I truly believe that an accessory pack would make the most sense in this particular instance. For the most part the parts that are added throughout the trilogy would be pretty easy to make interchangeable. The main thing that could be an issue is they'd need to make the tires removable/able to flip up somehow.

:exactly: Totally agree. I bought the Tumbler and couldn't get myself to get the Camo Tumbler due to expenses/budget. If they're planning to make a 2nd one based on the 2nd movie, most people will probably wait for that one since they will get Mr. Fusion, the rotatable wheels, etc etc. An accessory pack would be the best way to go about this because that means the sales for this DeLorean will be high, and they will get purchases of the accessory pack as well to complete the look.

Exactly! But what with the Iron Man franchise and what have you, we see that HT's business model tends more to the 3 Deloreans route with another as an exclusive. But we'll see.

This is the only one for me. I could not see spending another $700 for for the wheels and mr fusion, etc. I would go for an accessory pack but no room or budget for two of these.

Biff and George will never happen. Thomas Wilson is pretty over the whole BTTF craze, and unless they back up a Brinks truck to his house, will likely never sign off on his likeness. Same with Crispin Glover, this is the guy who sued Bob Gale and Universal because they used footage of him without his permission and hired a guy to impersonate him for BTTF2.

Watch this video. . . he's very against materialsim and the like. An action figure of himself seems like something that he would be very much against.

Because it's a given. I'm sure they're already working on him.

Wow, fascinating interview. Have to say it goes against the c**tish idea of the guy that we've gotten over the years for why he didn't do II and III. The Back to the Future's are great films but I don't think they would have been terrible if Crispin had gotten his way, talking specifically of the message about material wealth equalling happiness. A simple removal of the jeep scene at the end, perhaps showing the family as they were but happier as they were, no servant Biff etc etc

He's right too. Why would Biff be allowed anywhere near the McFly household after he tried to rape Loraine.

thanks swedishheat for posting that interview. i've always found crispin glover a fascinating actor, in spite of (or maybe precisely because of) the fact that he's slightly mental. i do think he's reading way too much into the ending with marty's shiny new pick-up truck. i do see his point, but it never ever struck me in the countless times i've seen the film that it was materialistic propaganda. to me, it was just a great emotional payoff for a character we like, one who started out with a crummy lot in life and ending with his life being improved in every way --- including on a financial level. nothing wrong with that.

as for ht's delorean, i've been waiting for them to make an official announcement ever since sdcc. short of getting the actual car, i'll be happy with a 1:6 version. this shall be mine! :D

Oh wow, I had just finished watching the 25th Anniversary Trilogy of Back to The Future along with every extras that come with it just now! Thanks so much for the video. I really don't know what to think. Both sides have valid argument though Glover's argument is really on point!

Yeah Crispin Glover is a great actor but slightly off. I didn't think a release of a George or Lorraine were realistically going to happen just because I don't think they'd be big sellers like Marty, Doc, and possibly Biff but it's true that Glover would probably never sign off on likeness rights.

BTTF came out 30 years ago. Claudia Wells is 48 years old. I'd be shocked if she didn't have at least a little work done.

Here's Alison Doody, Elsa from Last Crusade. 25 years ago, she was one of the most gorgeous women in the world. 20 years later, uh, not so much. It happens to the best of them.
