I’m gutted I didn’t go with the 1st batch but it being £200 more expensive and only a few weeks ahead I didn’t think it necessary. Now I wish I’d thrown caution to the wind and I may well have that delightful thing in my office as we speak.

Still, where I grabbed mine they are still saying Feb-April latest for 2nd batch. Not bad.

It is the dreaded Toys Wonderland (I can hear the collective gasp) but I don’t get the problem with them. I’ve ordered a lot and always get everything early. I had the Marty Mcfly Mark 2 figure months and months ahead and it was weird reading people excited to get their’s after ‘waiting so long’.

I reckon I’ll have my second batch car in about March from TW. Good luck to those waiting until September-December for their’s!

(I KID. I’d find that really annoying and would go Toys Woodland to get it much earlier. And NO, I have 0 affiliation. I’m not Justin’s spare account. They’ve just always been awesome for me. I recognise others have been in a living hell….)

Has anyone else had issues with the Delorean wheels leaving a residue (oily or greasy and clear?

I had the vehicle displayed on a clear acrylic divider shelf (Moducase) for a few months - when I took it out to reposition on he shelf, I noticed a slight residue underneath all 4 wheels.

The car is nearly 10-years old, hope the wheels are not deteriorating. I live in a moderate climate so I do not believe that is the issue.

rubber reacts with plastic, and tend to stick to glasses. i suggest isong some sort of lifter so the weight doesnt sit on the rubber wheels.

I’ve tried searching with no results. Are there any tutorials for disassembling the DeLorean? I am so distraught, I accidentally fried the lights in mine. I checked the output on my AC adapter and verified it was set to 4.5 volts and totally missed the small arrow that points to 12 volts also. A minute later and a burning smell and it was all over. I’m hoping it was just a resistor that I can replace but I can’t figure out how to get it apart.

Storm Collectibles 1:4 statue (crappy iPhone 8 pic below).

PVC/Vinyl & soft goods - materials aside, I feel it is superior to the PCS Hogan statue (which I also own) because the Storm has a more iconic Hulk look.

Championship belt is a mini replica belt from the WWE shop (oversized but close enough) - borrowed the idea from another PCS WWF collector.

The statue was originally $300 (@retail) - passed because I was mainly collecting 1:6 at the time but regretted it. I spent years looking but it typically sold for well over $1,000.

Then last year, a couple popped up on ebay for half of the usual price - I was skeptical thinking it was bootleg because it was from a Hong Kong seller but I saw feedback from another Hogan buyer who said it was legit. I took the leap of faith.

fabric works, but may leave fabric texture on the rubber since the weight still sits on the rubbers.

for 1:18 diecasts usually i cut a foam piece and wrap it with tissue then put it below the chassis so wheels dont touch the ground. you could also stack papers or cardboard for less clearance. anything works.

Funny you mention that - if you look carefully beneath Agent Cooper (Twin Peaks) in the pic I originally posted, there is Lauren Palmer's corpse essentially in a body bag (the same as below).

To answer your question, I put the figures in bags to protect them from dust.

During the transition period between getting the figure out of the box (to inspect/pose) and placing them into the display cases, I cover them in bags. My other shelves are full and I was in the process of building about a dozen new ModuCases.

I usually store the figure/statue boxes in the basement (or toss some out).

Should we be elevating the vehicles no matter what the surface is then?

This is a concerning issue if that's the case - I already own a half-dozen 1/6 vehicles, with more on the way (BTTF3 Delorean, JazzInc Batmobile, etc).

Thanks for the tips - I ended up taking a flat white box (from a kitbash 007 costume/head set) and wrapped some velvet fabric around it to conceal it and placed it under the chassis as you recommended.

It is still slightly uneven and elevated a little too high off the ground but it is difficult to detect unless you look up close.
