Thank you. Does that height include the doors being open or closed?
Doors closed. I would add another 10cm for doors being open but it’s hard to measure since mine is on the sloping stand. 75cm is actually the length. Width with wheels turned sideways is 39cm.

I got one of the first batches of this DeLorean before they made any updates to it. I have not followed this thread, and I currently have my DeLorean with the wheels in flight mode. I need to put the car back into the box, and I want to be very careful with putting the wheels back into driving mode. Is there anything I should do to minimize the chances of any damage when doing the conversion?

Thanks

Hi Mediame, loosening the single screw at the end of each wheel strut by about one turn will relieve the pressure from the ball-bearing rolling through its groove inside the struts. Then just gently fold them back into driving mode. Push the wheels back into the body without turning or twisting anything.

Dumb question, and I apologize in advance for not scrolling through all 79 pages, but to activate the light function when using USB power, is it always necessary to push the on button on?

Is there no way to leave it in an activated mode (for use with a remote controlled power source)?

Nope, you always need to push the button.

I've had mine since September 2023. How's everyone's LEDs holding up? Unfortunately, my instrument cluster dimmed down. How many LEDs are in there? If I wiggle the wire underneath, "sometimes" it will brighten.

I am very worried. I opened my own, looked inside and put it away. Didn't check for any issues, because I've been trying to move.....

I have to worry about LED's now...shewt.....

Used mine once a week since the same time you got yours. No issues or drop in brightness to report. The Delorean is now in a moducase and I can’t be bothered removing its front panel, lifting the hood too often to activate the lights. I know about the mods, but if a 25 dollar spotlight on Amazon can be operated by remote control, this should definitely have come with one!

I opened mine up tonight. Ordered the switch mod on ebay, no time to make my own. Anyway, should be great. Going to add a smart plug to my display cases! Got the obiwan show battle damaged vader on usb and R2D2. Wish there was an USB powered Ironman.

My Delorean was on 24/7 more or less since last year, lol. Instrument panel still looks decent. Not going to sweat it.

So far no one has modded or repaired the LEDs. Doing the front should be easy...maybe the rear as well. Cabin LEDs will be nearly impossible. HT did not make it easy at the slightest.

Going to light mine up in the evenings only with a smart plug.

There is a mod thread where someone documents how he took his one apart. Its doesnt look like a simple job but for anyone brave enough, its there.

I took mine apart. This mod is a must if you want to enjoy it safely and conveniently. The LEDs hot toys uses last about 30,000 hours. If you have it on 24/7, expect LED issues in 3-4 years. I am going to hook mine up to a smart plug to turn on 4-5 hours in the evening. Should last quite a while with minimal usage.

The hardest part was taking off the grill. Use a hair dryer, slide in a piece of painter's tape on the bottom for more leverage and wiggle left and right outward. If you try to pry it off with your fingers, it won't work, unless you can grip onto the sides very firmly. There is no glue. It's simply two little tips into two little holes, there you'll have access to another two holes with screws in them. I am going to apply a bit of grease onto the tips for easy removal for "next time". I hope there isn't a next time though. Thinking about removing the battery compartment and relocating the circuit boards there for easy access.

What is this switch mod you referred to? Thanks
