What's with sideshow and hot toys selling out all the recent batman figures? Did they not order enough because of the recent figures that sat on their shelves? I'm the type of the buyer who doesn't pre order usually because they haven't been on a waitlist for the longest time but as a distributor it feels weird they are selling items on a waitlist versus adding stock.

Hot Toys has reduced the amount of figures they produce for the past 2-3 years. Maybe longer. They used to overproduce figures, hence all the shelf warming figures on major discount on Sideshow.

Till this day, they’re STILL trying to get rid of certain figures from End Game. Doing 35% discounts throughout the year and still failing to get rid of stock. Nowadays, if there’s a figure you want your best chance is to preorder it. Most of their figures hit waitlist well before release or shortly after.

Is this out in the states? Can’t find it anywhere to purchase
This was a low run PO so it’s sold out at a lot of places right now. Best bet would be to get on the waitlist at sideshow if you really want one and not pay after market prices.

General rule of thumb nowadays is to PO something you think you want b/c HT aren’t producing in the numbers they used to

I don’t know how I missed out on the pre order of this but I got on the waitlist pretty fast. I don’t think it will convert but if it does I’d buy another.
I got one from toys buying agent just after release for £320 which works out about the same as from sideshow after getting hit with the obligatory £70 custom tax fees and shipping.
I’m glad I did too

Yea, I'm thinking I may hop on the WL as well just to see if I get a conversion. Maybe with it getting close to the holidays, ppl will be canceling.

Update I got a waitlist conversion today and I took it. I’m going to have one with the iconic jacket and keep the other as is.
Hopefully some other people get conversions

Funny how they convert your waitlists... yet I got an email about how it's been delayed and will be canceled unless I elect to keep it. Usually when this happens...I get an email about 2 weeks later that it will arrive in their warehouse

Ha, I just got the same email today as well. I just ignore them now. I had a Luke Skywalker figure ship with tracking number and then received the delay notification after the figure was already in transit a year or so ago.
