I'm shocked this hasn't been brought up to Hot Toys or Hot Toys community via Facebook. :lol

Everybody is just panicking way too much. I believe a lot of these problems are due to collectors' care and handling.

Glad this thread is back up! I have been thinking about canceling my pre-order. Here are some other damage reports:

These are the exact pictures I was thinking of when I posted my last comment. Someone posted these in the HT Cap thread.
Those defects are ALL because of the owners terrible handling and care. I looked at the blog they were posted at and the figure is perfect when he takes out of the box and about 10 pictures in and after multiple moronic poses, this crotch problem happened.
Obviously you shouldnt pose or move him in that manner. This isnt HT fault, its HIS fault.

Yeah, it's a review from this website... Absolutely atrocious

Like the way he describes it, "worst"!! Straight from the heart! :) Sincerely hope Keaton's suit would be taken care of...

I'm beginning to think that's why the Hot Toys Keaton suit has that rough, hard texture to it. It's not this soft, baggy rubber that they're using for this Toy Fairs Batman.

Who knows though. If the Keaton Batman has issues, I'm ____ing done with these types of figures. I've never been fond of rubber figures out of fear of damage and deterioration, even before DX 02 Batman.

Ironically, older figures with rubber still look as good as they did years ago. I guess the process in which they make this new stuff just sucks. :monkey4

It's like insects flying around lights or something. It is always getting bumped. Okay, a butt shot that has a little shine on the cheek. I have had a few headsculpts that have had these types of spots on it, it's not oil and it's not leaking, MOVE ON.

This figure has been discussed to death. Lock this thread back up until October or something once everyone who has ordered gets theirs. Then make it a picture thread like the first OC Batman. The last one was locked for a reason, this one should follow suit.

Nothing to contribute now.

Wow :horror You're opinion sure switched sides quick!

Glad the mods didn't lock the thread as you first suggested, huh? :dunno:monkey3

You can't treat these figures like regular action figures. You really need to be careful posing them. That guy gave it a GREAT REVIEW, but he is pushing the limits to what you can do with these as far as posing and is causing these issues all on his own.

This should do what is advertised, all the poses shown in the preview pics should be attainable without damaging the costume.

Why is this figure more expensive than others when it has a higher rate of degradation?
