I agree that the eyes need to be lighter for sure but also the hair needs to be shorter and have more of a layered look. Honestly the rooted hair was much more accurate to how she looked in the film. I doubt Hot Toys will rework anything on it. If it was a Marvel character they would do anything they could to make it as accurate as possible.

The sculpt doesn't feel like Alita to me. The hair needs to be shorter with a bit more poof to it, and the eyes need to be completely revised.

I think the likeness is pretty good. The eye color is way too dark though, I think that's mainly what makes it look so off. Prime 1 Studios sculpts are nearly perfect. It's a shame this won't get tweaked as that small change would make a big difference.

That head sculpt is an insult. Usually when this happens it is either (a) they are having trouble getting approval from the artist or license or (b) they are purposely making it garbage in anticipation of a sequel update release

Not garbage at all. Just needs the eyes to be fixed and rooted hair would work wonders. The actual sculpt is quite good imo.

The hair being sculpted would be fine IF they made it look right.

The overall figure itself is great it is just the sculpt that needs a few minor adjustments to make it near perfect but sadly it isn’t a Marvel or Star Wars character so it will not get any special attention.

Yeah I don’t like rooted much anymore myself. This is the one instance where I think a good custom rooted hair job would be awesome. I doubt HT could do it justice, going by their previous attempts..

Whoever sculpted Alita, I’d like to know what reference photos they used when doing the hair.

I'm guessing that photo of her in the berserker body with the sword but no clothes. Her hair is lighter there and looks slightly longer.

I just PO'd her after seeing the movie last night. I hope they make the sequel.
