Yeah the movie has impressive visuals and great casting, but i felt after watching it kinda deceived. Like the action and visuals are meant to distract you from the poor story telling and lack of good backstory. Afterward i wanted to know more about war with URM and Earth on the moon. Alita's backstory was also lacking, like why was she discarded from the sky city to the trash if she was so unique. Was URM the good guys or the bad guys. There just wasn't enough story about the sky city either, i wanted to see what was up there. The movie was great and i fully intend to get this figure, but i wish the movie had not had that 1 hr cut out. I heard Cameron originally had a 3hr cut.

You find out more about Alita's past in the film than you do in the original manga at the same point. You don't even know who Nova is at this point in the manga (just hints of his involvement).

Saw this 1/6 scale figure a few minutes ago and placed an order at Amazon (Germany). Hoping its not a fake sale (EUR 63,53 | USD 70,52 incl. p&p). Seems to be much more simply (less details) than the HT version in the same scale. But for me it is worth giving it a try. Maybe another statue in my ABA devotional items collection.

No offence but I wouldn't have wasted my time on this piece. Luckily since you got it off of Amazon you can get your money back if you don't like it.

The lack of figures and merchandise is strange. Funko has 3 Alita Pops, but NECA can't or won't get the license? Nothing from Mafex, SHF, or Mezco. If anyone follows art prints, yesterday I asked Bottleneck Gallery if they plan any Alita stuff, and all they said is "wasn't possible".

Not to mention WETA, which is strange since they worked on the movie. They made a few Ghost in the Shell statues, yet they didn't announce anything for Alita. All we got from them were some weird looking vinyl toys and a replica Damascus blade.
