A sequel would be amazing. Do we know if it?s in the cards? Last I heard not likely.
It being delayed a bit actually works in my favor

Nothing has been announced, I heard it made a modest profit so it's possible but would have been more certain if it had done better at the box office as they have the direction of the next films in mind

I don't expect Disney to ever greenlight a sequel, but Cameron personally owns the film rights to Alita, so he could potentially take it to WB or Universal if he chose to.

Alita has a huge cult following from very loyal fans now, I'm sure another studio would want to gain that kind of fanbase. Only time will tell.

Considering that Cameron has the film rights, expect Alita II sometime in 2034... followed closely by
Alita III in 2036, Alita IV: Journey to Pandora in 2039 and Alita V: The Final Battle Angel in 2041.

Nothing against Avatar, but I'd much rather have an Alita sequel over 8 Avatar sequels.

Although the delay is a bummer, I have to admit it kind of works out better for me. I'd like to get some more payments done on the Endgame Iron Man figure before I splash out the cash for this.

So I lost my only form of income thanks to a certain virus and now I won't be able to pay this off. Given all the delays and such, is it possible I could get a full refund from Sideshow?

I read the manga when I was younger and I waited years and years for some cool Alita merch, only to have this happen. Shame.

Once this is finally released, you guys are gonna have to take lots of pictures so I can see how she turned out!

If an item is delayed past the expected arrival date, they will refund the NRD. Just live chat with them and explain the situation and I have no doubt they will give a full refund. They have always been very helpful with me.

Well dammit, looks like Sideshow pushed back her release AGAIN. Says July-Sep now :/

So despite everything that's going on, they have the time to put up another Captain Marvel figure for sale, yet they can't be bothered to finish producing something that was supposed to be released last year?

Yeah, okay. :pfft:

The Punisher and Hulkbuster figures were also finalized and should be shipping soon. It's pretty clear to me that Marvel gets top priority at HT and nothing else really matters to them.

I think that is the case. But to be fair, if it was your business and that's where the majority of sales are, wouldn't you do the same? I know I would.

Alita is going to sell a fraction of Punisher or Hulkbuster I imagine. Got to pay the bills!

Very true, is why we'll never see a sequel sadly, now Disney is in charge

Yeah, Cameron owns all film rights. I expect sooner or later he will take the sequel elsewhere, to WB or Universal.

Everyone involved in the film production knows of and appreciates the fanbase, especially Rosa Salazar.

My mistake, I assumed disney owned it as the onus is on them to green light a sequel. Who knows, maybe it will happen with a different studio some day
